Wondering why the Bills hate wide receivers with speed …

Where are thes3 recievers with speed you speak of? They're picked clean

Love this pick!!!!

Brady likes his TEs, he might not get much PT but will fill right in for Morris...

Hey with a legit SB caliber team, I love these type of picks, Morris played a role, Bills hopefully just upgraded that role and added a weapon

I think this is doubling down on our power running, it lets us run the same stuff with either Anderson or this guy lined up in the smashing machine role.

Also, I think they let Knox walk away and keep him to get younger and cheaper next season.

It’s round 5. What did u want

Anything that has potential to help?

We literally have starters on this team from round 5 or later. These aren't throw-away picks.

They're not throwaway - but some here are talking like we can still fill needs in the late rounds.  Yes, some guys there CAN pan out - but generally, you're taking fliers on players that have upside and could surprise.  These aren't rounds that you get any immediate starters in, generally speaking.

Watching ESPN's coverage I thought I heard it announced as "lineman" in the background

But the the bottom had him listed as TE

HOF J Peters DEux:::? Hopefully not of the kind of Jocker Deux...

I was thinking the same thing. They were literally using an offensive lineman for this exact role just last year. How could anybody be upset about using a 5th round comp pick on an actual TE who can do it.

The only way we can create deception is if we actually throw to this guy in formation. If not he just becomes Anderson 2.0 and the D knows it's a run.

Why not just bring back Morris? Whatever I guess.

Because Morris can’t block anywhere near as well as Hawes.

Personally, I think this is a better use of the TE#3 position. With already having Knox and Kinkaid, I’d much rather have a specialized TE like a Lee Smith than a guy like Morris, who can block + catch but doesn’t do either especially well.

Could he also take over Gilliam's H-back role?

I think the complaint is not seeing that upside be speed.

Do they just hate WR as a concept?

Got to pray there are a lot of steps forward in the skill positions I guess. Bad strategy.

May be they have a deal for Amari in place
