Hey with a legit SB caliber team, I love these type of picks, Morris played a role, Bills hopefully just upgraded that role and added a weapon 4 Quote
LEBills Posted Saturday at 08:28 PM Posted Saturday at 08:28 PM This is a good pick, he will make the roster 1 1 Quote

colin Posted Saturday at 08:32 PM Posted Saturday at 08:32 PM I think this is doubling down on our power running, it lets us run the same stuff with either Anderson or this guy lined up in the smashing machine role. Also, I think they let Knox walk away and keep him to get younger and cheaper next season. 1 2 Quote
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 Posted Saturday at 08:35 PM Posted Saturday at 08:35 PM I don't like this move at all, he would only come in on 3rd downs if at all and offers almost no reciving ability or speed just a pur blocking TE. Why not just take a flyer on a WR here? I'm not a fan of this at all. 1 Quote

These aren't throw-away picks. They're not throwaway - but some here are talking like we can still fill needs in the late rounds. Yes, some guys there CAN pan out - but generally, you're taking fliers on players that have upside and could surprise. These aren't rounds that you get any immediate starters in, generally speaking. They were literally using an offensive lineman for this exact role just last year. How could anybody be upset about using a 5th round comp pick on an actual TE who can do it. The only way we can create deception is if we actually throw to this guy in formation. If not he just becomes Anderson 2.0 and the D knows it's a run. 1 Quote

Because Morris can’t block anywhere near as well as Hawes. Personally, I think this is a better use of the TE#3 position. With already having Knox and Kinkaid, I’d much rather have a specialized TE like a Lee Smith than a guy like Morris, who can block + catch but doesn’t do either especially well. 3 1 Quote

BearNorth Posted Saturday at 09:37 PM Posted Saturday at 09:37 PM Hawes is clearly a smart guy, and has a reputation as a nasty blocker. Perhaps Bills version of Ingold or Jusczyk? 1 Quote
