In terms of function, he's like a Cam Lewis: nickel CB, safety and special teams.  Physically, he's taller and faster, but a bit on the slender side for a safety.  If he does play more safety, he might want to add 15 lbs of lean muscle.

Agree until the number 15. Yes, he's being viewed as a S/NCB according to Beane, and yes he's larger and faster than Cam Lewis, and yes that's who will be competing with at least first. And yes he might want to (along with majority of draftees) add some strength/mass. But...adding 15 lbs of lean muscle for a speed/agility athlete is both difficult to do and especially difficult to do without a deleterious impact on speed/agility (especially change of direction). Maybe 5 lbs this year and see how that goes. He's not small as is.

He is the same size as Micah Hyde and faster.

Yeah.  He's 2# lighter than Hyde was at the Combine and 0.14s faster.

Did not realize he was that much faster. 2lbs is basically a big lunch. Lol

He could probably add 15# and still be faster.

Just add 15 pounds of muscle real quick?

I think 5lbs of good weight would be more than enough. Also fairly easy to do between now and the start of the season with an NFL strength and conditioning team.😉

Sadly his wife is very involved with the party planning. She’s the new Mrs Barkley.

Lewis is the kind of guy no one else will sign, so when you cut him, he could wind up staying on the practice squad.

Don't recall anyone having a problem with Micah Hyde's size. This is not the 80's NFL you don't need a 210 lb free safety.

Can Lewis is also the kind of guy that will win a camp competition. He has survived many before. He’s not going down without a fight.

I'm surprised a 5th round pick has the least amount of pages on the forum. Not moving the needle eh?

Must be good pick than lol.

Johnson is getting up there in age for a CB. Getting his potential replacement and someone that can take reps if he gets hurt again is a smart play

Taron has been one of my fav players for this regime that’s obviously not named Josh. Guy has been premium at his position though last year the consistency of quality appeared to drift. Think he’s got another 2-3 years of play at the absolute most but hopefully they have some plan of succession for next season.

Was hoping for Jahdae Barron to make it to 30. Kid is going to be a stud and can line up anywhere.

Was lucky enough to get a ticket to the Bills’ post draft event at the field house today.  Asst GM Brian Gaines was describing how they put their board together and mentioned that for each round they ask the scouts who their favorite guy graded for that round is.  He said that Jordan Hancock was named that for 5th round by 4 different scouts.  They see him being able to play S, nickel and special teams.
