Physically, he's taller and faster, but a bit on the slender side for a safety. If he does play more safety, he might want to add 15 lbs of lean muscle. Agree until the number 15. Yes, he's being viewed as a S/NCB according to Beane, and yes he's larger and faster than Cam Lewis, and yes that's who will be competing with at least first. And yes he might want to (along with majority of draftees) add some strength/mass. But...adding 15 lbs of lean muscle for a speed/agility athlete is both difficult to do and especially difficult to do without a deleterious impact on speed/agility (especially change of direction). Maybe 5 lbs this year and see how that goes. He's not small as is. 3 2 Quote

NickelCity Posted Sunday at 04:03 AM Posted Sunday at 04:03 AM My pie in the sky hope is that he shines at safety reps out of the gates and is our center fielder. 3 Quote

Also fairly easy to do between now and the start of the season with an NFL strength and conditioning team.😉 Quote

noacls Posted Sunday at 02:55 PM Posted Sunday at 02:55 PM (edited) Don't recall anyone having a problem with Micah Hyde's size. This is not the 80's NFL you don't need a 210 lb free safety. Edited Sunday at 02:55 PM by noacls Quote

Can Lewis is also the kind of guy that will win a camp competition. He has survived many before. He’s not going down without a fight. 2 1 Quote
Stads Posted Sunday at 03:51 PM Posted Sunday at 03:51 PM I'm surprised a 5th round pick has the least amount of pages on the forum. Not moving the needle eh? Quote

TBBills Fan Posted Sunday at 07:20 PM Posted Sunday at 07:20 PM Johnson is getting up there in age for a CB. Getting his potential replacement and someone that can take reps if he gets hurt again is a smart play 1 3 Quote

Guy has been premium at his position though last year the consistency of quality appeared to drift. Think he’s got another 2-3 years of play at the absolute most but hopefully they have some plan of succession for next season. Was hoping for Jahdae Barron to make it to 30. Kid is going to be a stud and can line up anywhere. 1 1 Quote
OldTimer1960 Posted Sunday at 08:15 PM Posted Sunday at 08:15 PM Was lucky enough to get a ticket to the Bills’ post draft event at the field house today. Asst GM Brian Gaines was describing how they put their board together and mentioned that for each round they ask the scouts who their favorite guy graded for that round is. He said that Jordan Hancock was named that for 5th round by 4 different scouts. They see him being able to play S, nickel and special teams. 1 1 1 Quote
