Board wants defense Bills draft all defense… board mad cause it’s not the players they wanted lol.  Bunch of clowns on here

I agree! That’s what makes it fun to laugh at and also you know we are having a great draft because the board hates most of the picks.

The eagles also drafted 4 DB's in the last two drafts because it's not all just pass rush.  Mahommes had no where to throw and the pressure got there.  If he has the ball out in 2 seconds pass rush is a lot less effective.  Mitchell and DeJean had as much to do with it as the D Line.

"Wow, maybe they shouldn't use every pick on defense."

"But you want them to use every pick on defense!"

Huh?

from PFF

Pros
Very quick first step for a player of his size
Has a baseline for a variety of pass-rush moves
Has the length to play 3-4 DE
Hand usage is quick despite also very long length
Good natural power in his upper body

Cons
Not a lot of weight in his lower half despite weighing 340 pounds — ankles/calves are skinny
High-waisted build makes it tougher for him to sit in his stance with leverage/power
Pops up quickly out of his stance

Pros:  King Henry won’t run over or through him, and it’s a long way around him.

This is a swing for the fences pick

Far too often we’ve criticized Beane for taking safe prospects with high floors with low ceilings.

This is the opposite. Low floor high ceiling but bust potential. At least Beane is taking a swing on a potential difference maker which is what we need

If I'm not mistaken, we might be +1 to our line capacity, so someone isn't making the team, or hoping to get stashed on the IR.  It'll get interesting once the suspensions are done.

Injuries might make it less interesting.

You do know the Bills offense last year was one of only 5 teams to ever average over 3 points per play over the entire history of the NFL.

They were the only team to score 30 touchdowns running and 30 passing ever in the history of the NFL and they averaged about 31 points per game.

You aren’t going to be able to “open up” the offense or score much more than that.

The defense is the problem. The offense isn’t going to score a lot more points just because They add one more speedy receiver.

The defense can’t be giving up 30 ppg every time in the AFC championship game.

I acknowledged that defense is the problem. Our offense is currently made up entirely of short and intermediate route runners. To pretend that a guy to stretch the field vertically wouldn’t help with that shirt area traffic is either naive or uninformed. We spent most of our resources in FA on defense and now 6 draft picks of draft capital on defense, yet refuse to give THE MVP OF THE LEAGUE more help. I stand by my point, there are opportunities on both sides of the ball but apparently only interest in fixing one of them (and I’m lukewarm at best on the attempt there…)

It remains to be seen how these players work out, but i am glad to see positions of need being filled.  Getting someone with high upside like Walker in the 4th is something that I am on board with.

He also hated Josh Allen in 2018…

Yeah but Marino can admit when he's wrong. He did not like Bernard either he did like Dorian Williams.

Like the pick. Big guy who I don’t expect to be a pass rush threat, but a dude who can eat multiple blocks and let others make the plays.

Also love getting stability on the dline versus a bunch of one year contracts.

The cry of "give Josh more help" is forgetting what having a premier franchise quarterback is all about. He has that huge contract because he can do so much without needing premier talent around him. Beane built a quality offensive line to protect Josh. From there, the Bills piece it together every year. This is what having an all-time great QB looks like.

We have not made it to the Super Bowl because of our defense. That is now being addressed. How well? We'll see.

I heard to vastly different opinions. JOE Marino was not kind to this guy.

They also had a Kentucky beat writer on, and he said that you have to watch his 2023 tape, when he wasn't playing through a back injury. He said...this guy was double and triple teamed on every play, and raved about him.

You can't teach size, and in this point in t he draft i love the pick.

If we can some how trade back in and steal Horton, it would be the perfect draft.

So what would we really need to teach him? Keep your pads low, butt down.  Now take 1-2 steps to right or 1-2 steps to the left. See ball, get ball.

What could go wrong? Back is concerning, doesn’t sound like it’s behind him. Sounds like he can play through pain in his interview however.
