Brugler's Beast actually used the term "planet theory" made famous for Michael Jasper when describing Walker. He's a behemoth huge and long and wide, also very young barely turned 21. He's actually got decent feet but like Jackson is very much an upright guy, but maybe it's the injury. Who knows if he'll be Jordan (Miami) Phillips or can become an actual unmoveable blob in the middle of the line with better technique.

Not a draft guru. But Google tells me he lacks flexibility, which blows up the leverage he should have with his huge size.

 

Also conditioning/work ethic seem to be a consistent problem.

I've never had a draft where my preferred order and position were met with the first four picks.  CB, DT, DE, and DT.  Having said that, we all know we're seeing Jordan Philips again in January.

you listed 13 names for 9-10 spots.
 

2 suspended buys you time and by mid season almost certainly someone will be on IR

 

its a little heavy but the suspensions change the math

There's nothing wrong with Jordan Phillips outside of his Personal Fouls. He's been a big time player for us. If we get a rookie version of him in the 4th, I'm happy.

Interesting to me that they took him over Farmer, considering the visits they had with Farmer.  Also, surprised they felt they needed to trade up for him, since the ratings I saw for Walker had him going lower.  ESPN has Walker 10 rating points less than Farmer, for whatever that is worth.  

I would have preferred Farmer.  Seems like Walker is a bit of a project with some very good physical intangibles.

 

One thing is certain - DeWayne Carter’s role is very much in question.

If I'm not mistaken, we might be +1 to our line capacity, so someone isn't making the team, or hoping to get stashed on the IR.  It'll get interesting once the suspensions are done.
