Low Positive Posted Saturday at 08:11 PM Posted Saturday at 08:11 PM I get that this has been a good draft, but it's just not cool to have nobody to follow in training camp at the fun positions. 2 Quote

Does that really improve our D much? Will Hairston as a rookie really be a significant upgrade over Rasul? For all the resources dedicated on the DL, McDermott loves his rotation so it’s difficult for anyone to really dominate. If an injury happens at LB, our backups outside of Williams are a significant liability and the tandem of Rapp and Bishop leave a lot to be desired. Really hope I’m wrong and the Bills truly crushed this draft but at this point it’s very much wait and see and hoping vs. expecting. Rasul was bad borderline awful last year so I honestly think Hairston will be a pretty big upgrade over what Rasul did last year. Maybe he turns it around and Rasul is an upgrade over Rasul from last year though that could happen but he still was awful last year lol I think the wr hungry bunch on here are really underselling how bad the defense was last year. Based on mcds track record I can nearly guarantee one of these late cbs is gonna be a homer also and seeing as corner depth sunk us last year idk how that’s not exciting. It's more than just a loss of a pick. Whomever Drafts him will have to answer to why they're supporting someone criminally charged with SA. They'll have to explain why they think law enforcement is wrong during an ongoing criminal case. On top of all of that, with him being charged with such a heinous crime - odds are the league will put him on the exempt list until the legal process plays out. Including a trial that could take years. He will not be Drafted and he shouldn't be Drafted. After reading the affadavit, it's pretty disgusting to hear any Bills fan say "I don't care, he's far too talented for where he is on the board". butch rolle Posted Saturday at 08:12 PM Posted Saturday at 08:12 PM Looking at the best available remaining receivers there is a guy named Tez Johnson from Oregon. 5'10, 154 lbs. If the bills are still running an "everybody eats" offensive philosophy, this guy better get drafted for his own survival. 4 Quote

The Bills have faced more man to man coverage than any other team- because no one respects our WRs. We traded for Amari- because we got curb stomped by the Ravens- because they pressed our slow ass WR, pinched safety’s up, stuffed Cook, and beat up on Josh. Texans did same and beat us. Jets did same, and almost beat us. The 2 losses were all due to zero separation. That’s when we desperately traded for Amari. Defenses were not as aggressive with Amari. Space opened up, Cook got cookin. Josh and offense were awesome for the rest of season. Amari opened up everything. Amari is gone. So is Mack. We added Palmer. Don’t we need 5 WR? Is this the definition of insanity? Where have you gone John Brown? Who says Cooper won't be back? Quote

Everyone knows it was bad. It wasn't bad, you can't take a WR in the draft bad. Quote
Augie Posted Saturday at 08:13 PM Posted Saturday at 08:13 PM So, the bottom line right now is the Bills have taken 3 DL, 3 CB’s and a TE. No WR (yet) but they knew what positions they wanted to retool! I get a bit lost in the moment, but that says it all. Quote

Part of me is happy because there are no excuses for McDermott and Babich now. We just threw a bunch of talent at their side of the ball this offseason. They have to make it work. If not now, it's never going to happen. 3 1 Quote

GunnerBill Posted Saturday at 08:13 PM Posted Saturday at 08:13 PM I hope they still take a shot on an outside receiver. Andrew Armstrong from Arkansas who I featured in my sleepers thread is still there and Will Sheppard out of Colorado who was one of my Shrine Bowl standouts and who the Bills have met with.... neither of them are all that fast - 4.51 and 4.59 respectively.... but they are legit outside receivers you can at least allow to compete in camp. 2 Quote

And, while I can agree with that, I think the Bills are looking at it a bit differently. It looks to me they are jut telling Josh, go out and do what you have done the last few years and we will do everything in our power to make sure the defense doesn't let you down in big spots again. And finding a way to make that 1 last stop is how they think they are helping Allen. Now, to me, I think Allen is the best QB in the league and instead of playing to your strength, you are holding him back. Sure, we score 30 a game. Great. You know what's better? Scoring 35-40. Surround the dude with fast, explosive talent and just run teams out of the building. But that's just now how they want to go about it. The good news is, that we can score 30 with this offense and that we are only a couple of trades away for legit WRs from getting to that next level. I am just not sure Beane is going to try and make those deals at this point. You know how to score 35-40 a game when the team was already capable of scoring 30 a game? By not letting the other team march down the field. Stop them quickly and put the ball back in Allen's hands. 1 Quote

All can contribute in special teams and are better WRs than Coddrington is a “CB” Tez Johnson would be a nice pick up. He did not have a great year in 2024 and he ran a surprisingly poor 40, but based what I saw in 2023, he definitely can separate and I thought he had plenty of speed. He was actually more explosive than Troy Franklin last year... Quote

SoonerBillsFan Posted Saturday at 08:13 PM Posted Saturday at 08:13 PM Look, I am thrilled with most of the defensive picks, but it's absolutely criminal not to address WR in the 4th with who all was there. Josh still needs help, and help who has SPEED. Have no doubt the D will be better and all of us are thrilled, but you can address offense as well. 1 Quote
