San Francisco can shoot the middle finger across the country at Buffalo by taking a WR here lol after the Bills apparently sniped their two DT's

They sure tried... but I don't know if any Watkins should be on Buffalo's radar at that position

That’s dumb. They need a guy capable of going 2-2 or 3-1 if Josh goes out for a month. They can hire another QB coach if we still need someone to help Josh in the film room. Bring back Barkley. They can’t punt on a season because he misses a month. That’s the purpose of a backup.

Absolutely with you.

Do I want them to draft a QB? Not particularly but there’s a couple of guys there who are capable of producing what they guys behind Josh right now are.

Double down on that, look at it like the Pats and Eagles have done the turn of this century… drafted guys and traded them for decent compensation down the road.

That’s a win/win to me. A win if they never have to play but are an improvement at the backup role and a win if you get something for him if indeed he gets a game here or there due to the worst possible situation.

Can even go as further as looking at Joe Milton and the Pats last season… kid didn’t play anything other than a throw away game. Looked decent and the Patriots got something for future use. Now the guys is in a position to get a look at the starting position in Dallas if Dak doesn’t make it again… big difference if they guy has some tutelage behind a guy like Allen and co.

It's not so much about preventing KC. You're right, who they select is beyond his control. It's about his baffling unwillingness to invest in his own quarterback and try to create a big play element to the offense.

His #1 pick the previous 2 drafts were a WR and a TE.

I can't believe Im saying this, I am ashamed of myself, but  maybe we should just draft Bond!

I would, they came out hard against the allegations, filed a federal case against her for setting him up for a money grab, etc.

Bills could just come out and say they are going to give the young man the opportunity to clear his name.  If not, he’s an easy cut

I hear you, but there is a good shot that he's going to prison. Those charges are pretty serious.

How many of our selections will start day 1?  If White beats out Hairston…possibly none?

Defensive line is heavy rotation with us, so starters aren’t as important as offensive guys.

Just happy we got some guys who seem to fill for needs for us.  Love the Landon Jackson pick. Hairston should be a starter sooner then later.

The Bills did meet with Watkins so he was probably somewhere on their board.

And now the Pats take Farmer.  .  .  .  .  .  We're doomed !

I know you're kidding here - but the Pats fear on this board isn't very rational, imo.  It's more based on PTSD than on reality.

Their future depends entirely on if Maye ends up being more of the guy that flashed on a few amazing plays last year, or on the guy who kept throwing game-ending picks on the last drive.

Board update time....

1. Isaiah Bond^, WR, Texas

2. Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

3. Cam Williams, OT, Texas

4. Bradyn Swinson, DE, LSU

5. Marcus Mbow, IOL, Purdue

6. Zy Alexander, CB, LSU

7. DJ Giddens, RB, Kansas State

8. Tory Horton, WR, Colorado State

9. Jordan Phillips, DT, Maryland

10. Cobee Bryant, CB, Kansas

I wonder what's going on with Swinson? I thought for sure he'd be gone by the end of R3.

Agree Dave. I hope Hairston is immediate. If it turns into another Elam situation then the franchise should just scrap drafting secondary players and look to acquire them late in the draft or via trade as they’ve knocked that out the park.

That has more to do with our strong roster than a perceived weak draft though.

Dude could you imagine if they took him after the Araiza deal. Katherine Fitzgerald couldn't help herself during Beane's post draft presser yesterday bringing up a situation with Hairston that happened in 2021 that was later found completely unsubstantiated. Can't escape Fitzgerald and others if they take Bond
