C.Biscuit97 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Ayonmanor Is my guy. Rawer, Canadian (a positive for once!), and is like a faster Gabe Davis who I think could possibly be developed into more (and Gabe was an absolute home run pick).  1 Quote
billieve420 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Would like to see developmental WR taken in rounds 4-5. Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago No WR taken in this draft was getting on the field for us. Never was going to happen. It’s almost the least likely position we were going to draft. Absolutely no reason to 2 1 Quote

This team should never stop trying to find playmakers for Allen, even if they are long shot late round guys. 2 6 Quote

Or the fact that we run 2 TEs constantly, throw a ton to the RB and use 6 olinemen more than anyone. Just because you don’t like the guys we have, doesn’t mean the Bills agree. We aren’t taking a WR in a round that matters. Anyone we take now is fighting for a STs or PS spot Quote
Special K Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Looks like the Bills are banking on a healthy Curtis Samuel instead of picking a WR......I hope they know what they are doing, but that isn't something I would bank on. 1 Quote

And the Bills have not really improved on it. At some point he needs support, not just expected to be otherwordly year after year because McBeane cannot get enough of their never ending draft picks on D to work.  I'm fine with the first three picks being on D. But something different at WR is required, and that was the chance to take it. Perhaps there will be a minor miracle and someone will still be available in the fifth. 2 Quote
GASabresIUFan Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago If the Bills are serious about adding a speed WR, Horton is the only one left they visited with. Â Quote

But something different at WR is required, and that was the chance to take it. Perhaps there will be a minor miracle and someone will still be available in the fifth.   I wanted a wide receiver in this draft, agree it is the missing element on offense, one that can make a great offense greater, even more unbeatable than last year's, on their 14 win team. However I do not agree that the Bills did not improve their offense last year--or they do not support Josh, cannot believe anyone can say that after their changes, improvements since Brady stepped in:  --first time ever, ? , a team had 30 rushing and 30 receiving touchdowns, (Isn't giving Josh one of the best balanced team in NFL history 'support'?)  --one of the best running games in the league                        (Please see right above for why this supports Josh--ditto.)  --scored more points than ANY other team in the NFL (Doesn't this show the offense was 'improved'? I would say that is pretty good evidence that they accomplished that feat, don't you?  --And they had the best offensive line we have seen on the Bills in many years, one of the best in the NFL now by almost all accounts, and a much improved one. (Isn't this something that supports Josh Allen and really undermines your main contention, that they are not supporting him?)  A high quality wideout would make that historically good, great, offense even better, enable them to break their own records and more. Seems almost a given to me, and to many.  But to say 'at some point he needs support' seems dramatically out of place, misguided--se the bullets above.. and they are only part of the story of how good the offense was last year, and how supported Josh Allen was.  I am monumentally confident that what Josh Allen has seen so far in this superbly focused and realized draft, with more to come, has made him ecstatic--he is finally about to have the defense he needs to SUPPORT him and the offense, as they help his team take the final step.  I hate cliches, but this one is backed up, at least recently, but overall--defense wins championships. That is the support Allen did not have and now may have.     Quote

Anyone we take now is fighting for a STs or PS spot I love Shakir but it’s not crazy to think that there could be a late round pick who could eventually become better than him. But you will never know if you don’t try.  again, it’s not the biggest need. But we severely lack big play threats and that’s crazy with a guy like Allen. We are tie against the cap so the draft is your best chance to hit on a future stud. We don’t have a number 1 option and you can get by with that. But I do believe it does catch up and it is happening to the Chiefs. 33 minutes ago, Mister Defense said: ?  He had one of the best running games in the NFL last year, yes, not used enough in either the running or passing, but still very effective.  And the ball was spread around wonderfully, part of the clear and direct scheme and philosophy they were going for. Worked at historically good levels.  Strange and ironic post, when the real reason he has to play hero ball is usually because the running game did not come through--and because the defense did not, so he was forced to score again and again, even after it seemed he had just won the game for the Bills.  The best way to have Josh play within his (awesome) potential is to, of course, to give him a good, then great defense.  Kind of a duh, I think.  You should be extremely happy right now, and hopefully more to come on defense soon.   Agree on the faults of the defense. However the offense got the ball back a couple of times in the title game and failed.  we have one player (Cook) who scares defenses. Love Shakir but he doesn’t scare you. Just think we need one more weapon to make this offense truly scary. 1 Quote
