A RB early today (RD4/5) is an indication they’d be open to trading Cook, imo. 
 

RB is plug and play.  If we need one next year, draft one next year.

 

You don’t waste a pick on a RB, wasting a year of his rookie deal when we never pay RB’s last the rookie deal anyway.. and also have no place to stash them without losing a roster spot elsewhere.

 

You take a RB early today if you feel there’s a good chance Cook forces our hand by holding out up until the last minute and we just decide we aren’t going to want to deal with that.

At this point in the draft just go BPA. 4th round and on are likely backups to start, and almost every position group could use competition at backup.

Thornton will be gone before our next pick, as will Royal and probably all of the other speed wr's not named Bond.  Bond is intriguing here but probably off the Bills board

1. Bond - but we won’t because of his off field situation 5-11, 4.35

 

2. Horton - most dynamic WR left imo  6-3, 4.41

 

3. Royals - Good all around WR but not convinced he’s a vertical threat in the NFL  6'0, 4.42 40  - I think he or Ayonmanor are the pick if we move up in the 4th

7. Watkins - I wanted Harris but Watkins is actually better beating his man off the line and getting vertical 5-11, 4.37

 

8. Badger - I know we got burned by our last Florida “receiver” but this kid can actually catch the ball and is a vertical threat 6-1 4.43 

 

9. McCoy - not a burner but tough and can still get it done stretching the field 6-3, 4.5 - to slow.

 

10. Arian Smith - he drops too many to be drafted before round 6 but speed shows up and still makes big plays - 6'0, 4.36 Bills have interest.  Much improved last year at UGA.

11.  Ayomanor - Projects as a high end 2 and maybe a one.  6-2, 4.44

12. D!ke - Likely a slot, but the better Gator on the board.  6-0, 4.34

Thanks for adding and I understand that Ayomanor tested well I’m just not as high on him as a vertical threat from what I’ve seen. D!ke is fine but nothing special.

 

I add Tez and Restrepo because I honestly don’t care about their measurables, both are just really good WRs that will make any team better. Tez can be a moved around outside or inside and is a vertical threat regardless of the combine 40. Restrepo may be a slot but he’s awesome and worth a late pick

Beane attacked the first two days of the draft with a commitment to make our pass D better.  He got a CB who's better in coverage than run support.  A 1 tech who's built more like a 3 tech and better at penetration than holding up against big run blockers.  And a DE who's better at rushing the QB than setting the edge.  

 

Despite how King Henry gashed us, it doesn't seem like improving the run D was a priority.  And despite the facts that our #1 RB is holding out and our wideouts don't separate well, neither was the offense.  

 

I'd love to see us get a speedy wideout but at this point, I'm mostly expecting BPA.

The biggest need at WR is someone who can take the top off the defense and give Josh a deep threat.  Guys like Ayomanor, Royals, Horton, Thornton and Arian Smith give us that skill set.  Horton, Royals, and Smith all had top 30 visits with the Bills.  Thornton had multiple less formal visits with the Bills.  I expect the Bills to draft one of those 4 guys.  I doubt the Bills scheduled a visit with Ayomanor because they didn't think he'd fall a place they could draft him.

Crossing my fingers that it’s Horton or Bond early and Tez or Restrepo late. The first 2 are the highest upside vertical threats who can actually run other routes too. Tez or Restrepo late would just make me smile. Think Josh would like both those dudes ability to get open when he’s in trouble
