I actually love this pick at this point. 6'6", 264lbs, an explosive athlete, plays the run well, and the he gets after the QB for real. Him and Groot will be as formidable a duo we have had at DE in a long time. Just my 2.

Jackson added muscle mass to his leggy frame, but a lack of bend hinders his anchor and contact balance against force. He’s long and urgent in fighting his way past the man in front of him. He’ll never be a natural edge bender but he plays with connected hands and feet that should allow him to develop more impactful rush counters. It will look gawky at times, but Jackson seems to be growing into his frame and possesses the traits and motor to make it as a future starter on the edge.

Would’ve been a solid pick at 62.  Likely took the same guy we would’ve taken.  Diminishing any value we may have lost in the trade up.  Basically gave up a 4th to move up 15 spots (iirc).  Not bad

6'6" 264lbs. 4.68 40-yard. 40 1/2" vert (!!!) and 10'9" broad. Explosive and twitchy, but plays very upright and gives away leverage although he's got power to spare. Long strides to close ground. Wins mainly with power, althought he beat Will Campbell every which-way in their matchup.

Landon Jackson is a really good pick here at the top of R3.  I thought he could go in the top half of R2.  Good all around DE that can set the edge against the run and has the athleticism to develop into a solid pass rusher.

I have to admit, this draft is falling decently in terms of position. I would have liked DTs to not fly off the board in RD1 but considering that they did, day 2 is going well. 

 

I expect a WR, S, LB, and tub of goo 1T (against my better judgement) next.
