So the guy on ESPN began saying he plays with his hair on fire,  but stopped after hair.  That was embarrassing 😳

I actually love this pick at this point. 6'6", 264lbs, an explosive athlete, plays the run well, and the he gets after the QB for real. Him and Groot will be as formidable a duo we have had at DE in a long time. Just my 2.

Greg Cosell, NFL film guru:

I'm always leery of making comparisons because that's all people remember... he kind of reminded me a little of when I watched Max Crosby coming out of college," said Cosell.

Crosby, the No. 106 overall selection in 2019, has developed into a perennial Pro Bowler

Developmental, long-limbed defensive end who needs a year or two of bulking up before he's ready to see the field. He's long and flexible and will flash on tape as both a rusher and run defender and those traits could outweigh his poor contact balance and play strength for some teams. If he grows into his gangly frame, Crosby offers a higher ceiling than some Day 3 prospects he could be lumped in with.

High-energy edge prospect with projectable traits but unorthodox movements and body control that might create a lack of conviction when it’s time to stamp a grade. Jackson added muscle mass to his leggy frame, but a lack of bend hinders his anchor and contact balance against force. He’s long and urgent in fighting his way past the man in front of him. He’ll never be a natural edge bender but he plays with connected hands and feet that should allow him to develop more impactful rush counters. It will look gawky at times, but Jackson seems to be growing into his frame and possesses the traits and motor to make it as a future starter on the edge.

INCREDIBLE pick.

love it love it love it.

Would’ve been a solid pick at 62.  Likely took the same guy we would’ve taken.  Diminishing any value we may have lost in the trade up.  Basically gave up a 4th to move up 15 spots (iirc).  Not bad

God's truth, I honestly thought we traded up to #41 to draft Landon,  My man crush was royals, and really wanted him here, but this is a fantastic pick

Where is Simon?

Dicking around in the garage, I'd assume.

6'6" 264lbs. 4.68 40-yard. 40 1/2" vert (!!!) and 10'9" broad. Explosive and twitchy, but plays very upright and gives away leverage although he's got power to spare. Long strides to close ground. Wins mainly with power, althought he beat Will Campbell every which-way in their matchup.

Value and Need for this pick.🙂

That is why I am still screaming when we gave up a lot of value and picked a DT who is good but does not fill a Need.😠

Landon Jackson is a really good pick here at the top of R3.  I thought he could go in the top half of R2.  Good all around DE that can set the edge against the run and has the athleticism to develop into a solid pass rusher.

Hysterical, espn website has NFL comparable player as AJ Epenesa

Yup, that’s who he is. Probably make him slim down and repeat the entire deal.

Yeah baby!  I have to take Beane's word for it on Sanders, wanted 25 more lbs.  But couldn't be happier with Landon Jackson.  CB, DT, DE - what I mocked to us about 1,000 times using the sim sites.  Couldn't have seen it going this way!  Nothing but joy.

I have to admit, this draft is falling decently in terms of position. I would have liked DTs to not fly off the board in RD1 but considering that they did, day 2 is going well.

I expect a WR, S, LB, and tub of goo 1T (against my better judgement) next.
