This is how relevant the browns are, I didn’t even know Chubb left. Taking two QB and two RBs is such a fan mindset “take two, one of them has got to be good” 

Even more stupid is the likely hood that Stefanski is a lame duck coach. So the two QBs are going to be in a new system next year. Just incredibly stupid team building from a team that in a division with two of the most stable organizations in football

Like I wrote earlier, the Gabriel QB pick was dumb, it's a reach. 

 

They had a solid draft. #1 IDL prospect, a blue chip RB in Judkins, a good MLB.

The Gabriel pick was dumb in retrospect, but only because they were able to get Shadeur later on.

 

I actually kind of like what the Browns did here. It's the Dollar Store version of the RG3/Cousins draft. Bring 'em in, see if anyone breaks out. Thinking "we already have 3 QBs in camp" is kind of a sunk cost fallacy, since none of them are particularly good options. I hope Stefanik has the nerve to play Shadeur - the higher upside guy in my opinion - over Gabriel. If they both don't look like NFL material, they get a 3rd chance next year.

I just read they traded a 5th round pick for Pickett too. So now they have invested 3 mid round picks in QBs. Incredible waste of resources

I think that move was dumb. It's pretty obvious by now that Pickett fits the profile of NFL backup who will never be more than a transition starter. And by signing Flacco after that they kind of doubled down on the dumb.

 

Better to admit you're not gonna compete this year and commit to whoever (or whoevers, plural) you could get in the mid rounds in the draft.

He should.  He made the draft more about himself with the continuous Sanders rants and highlighted the QB's that slipped who he went to bat for that payed off.  He did so not having access to any of the behind the scenes interviews with Sanders that pry turned some QB needy teams off.  I also think he's good friends with Deion so it only amplified his anger.  With how QB starved teams are there's no way Sanders makes it past the early half of the 2nd round if there weren't character concerns.  Jobs are on the line with these GM's and head coaches.  I don't know if he considered any of that or he wanted to put on a show so people started talking about him again.

Cleveland will never have higher than the third best QB as it stands right now. 
 

They are never dethroning Baltimore AND Cincinnati in the next 5 years without a QB on their level. 
 

Nothing in that org matters besides QB and it shouldn’t.

I missed the league apology to. chase Lundt who said he received 5 prank calls before he was drafted by the Bills. Cooper dejean was pranked last year and everyone laughed. This is so soft.

I mean I did feel bad but it’s not like it doesn’t happen to other guys and it’s not THAT serious that the nfl has to issue a PR apology like… it’s probably bc it was a coaches kid I guess, but the things the nfl chooses to address and not address… well…

I suppose it being the kid of a NFL DC is probably more worthy of an apology, I do agree tho it’s pretty soft

Just hope that Sanders does not take his slide to 5 like some other QB we know that was picked in the 6th round, and used to for motivation to dominate in the league for 20 years.
