You don’t know if he would or would not be there but don’t say we moved up 5 spots when it was 56 to 41 that was why we had to give up some picks / positions

but we moved back 10 and lost a 4th to go up 15 spots a lot different then what you presented

You still missed what I was saying. I was talking about moving up five spots worst case for Alexander (or Turner or Norman-Lott) because we were live at pick 51 when I made that post, or just stick at 56 and take our pick of those guys rather than moving up to take Sanders.

One might argue that Sanders will be worth that but outside of Collins, no DTs were picked between where we took Sanders at 41 and where Bears ultimately started the DT run at 62.

I feel like this is an absolute reach. An undersized defensive lineman.

Especially with the large human being Collins still there.  You can’t teach size.

Fast evaluation

This is a home run pairing for the Bills. They have someone who maintains three-down ability in a smaller package but has the length and run-defending skills they covet in a long-term starter at the position. The Bills needed a long-term replacement for Jones, who is a free agent after 2025, and they found it in Sanders.

In Buffalo, you certainly can. I gain 10 pounds every Christmas trip home.

Riiiggghhhht stopping the run is what really matters and is keeping the Bills out of the superbowl year after year. C’mon be better.

Respectfully, I don’t get your take.  We don’t need to be good stopping the run?

Chiefs and Eagles were both top ten against the run.

I’ll give Beane and Co the benefit of the doubt.  Paired with our D Lineman, maybe Sanders is the missing piece.  I’ll be rooting my ass off for him.

Sanders had four sacks and 51 tackles. He showed some dangerous interior pass rush ability, and some team sources feel that Sanders could rise in the months leading up to the draft. He performed well at the Senior Bowl practices. Multiple team sources say they have Sanders on the bubble of the first and second round.

He is a better pass rushing DT than Collins.  Clearly what they want

During the Bills  phone call with Sanders after they selected him, I found it interesting that Pegula told him that the Bills had been " trying to trade up for him for like the last 20 picks"

This is the only way trading up for a 3T makes sense

Yeah and Shakir can play outside. I'll believe it when I see it.

FWIW from CBS:

41. Bills (from Bears): T.J. Sanders, DT, South Carolina

Grade: A

Such a fun selection for Buffalo. High-caliber athlete with polished hand work. Elite production in SEC. Quality size and plus length for an upfield interior rusher. Fills clear-cut need for the Bills defense. And this was almost a perfectly equivalent swap on draft pick trade chart.

Seems like alot of the 'experts' really like this pick. Interesting that they point out that the swap of picks was very fair according to whatever value chart they used.

I think the direction we are seeing is that our d is going with the pat Reilly model: a bunch of talented hybrids.

Hoyt at the dt from pittz, bosa and Groot, Oliver and Sanders and the razorback de we got in the 3rd.  With the ability to play man behind it, I think we are going to see more formations and overloads and stunts upfront.

We don't have an giant monsters in the gut (kinda ironic considering how huge and physical the ok is) but the combined size and athletics of the front 4 is something.  Groot/bosa/razorback/AJ at de and Oliver/sanders/Jones/Carter/ at Dt and Hoyt wherever they put him is a lot of chess pieces if they can be creative with it.

3T depth is Oliver/Sanders/Ogunjobi/Carter. can't wait for McDermott to be gone. just used two seconds on the same position we traded up for last season and plays part-time in his scheme.

I'm just curious, how much alcohol do you have to consume before making a post like this?
