Ever consider they aren’t?  Ed has proven he’s a nobody and he can play 1T, so why not let him?  Let a guy with actual talent go up the field and push the pocket.

What? You think Eddy is going 1t?

Read the write-up on this kid, one of the most explosive DL in the draft, can stop the run and great at getting to the QB

I don’t even get how he’s undersized really lol he could easily be playing at 310-315.  There were a couple 330 pound classic nose tackles but they brought pretty much nothing in pass rush

Feel like  Landon Jackson or JT Tuimoloa

or is this where we take an OG and make the board explode

JT drafted by the Colts. DE or S next I would guess.

There will 100% be haters every step of the way claiming to be realists all the way to our Super Bowl win whether it’s this year or 100 years from now haha

Not that these sites are the great prognosticators but ESPN shows the Bears just took a DT who was ranked higher than our pick at the same position. Now….the Bears did NOT take him with our Pick 56. They sat there and got him with our Pick 62! I mean…..really? Why does it feel like we got fleeced?

Many of these same experts had Darnold and Mayfield ahead of Allen. Should tell you all you need to know about the 'experts'.

Maybe we'll take a 6'6" DE who has a high motor and is best described as a pocket collapser to go along with our squadron of DT's who are all 3techs who get 2 or 3 sacks a year and a pack of safeties who all run the 40 and finish behind Tremaine Edmunds and can't find their man until the ball is in his hands and he's 7 yards down the field.

I'd rather complain now.  Laugh about how wrong I was later and admit this is why I'm not a professional.  I hope Sanders is a beast and Rapp and Bishop come out and play some lock down coverage.  I was typing this and we literally did it.

And one of them has gone all in on shadeur sanders who’s still falling years after he said ‘if jimmy clausen isn’t good I’ll quit’ 😂

Did it in college and can play that role now, he probably won’t, but he’s proven he’s absolutely mediocre without somebody taking the blockers off him, might as well let him just hold the point of attack and let the real talent go after the QB.

It’ll be interesting to watch Sanders vs Turner.    It’s always something Billsy with the Bills in the draft.  Last year Coleman vs Worthy.   You make your play and move on it’s not an exact science 🤘✌️

Who is turner

sorry it’s prom night I’m distracted

I always enjoy Mel getting a little egg on his face.

Big meh on this…. He is undersized and most had him as a guy you can get late second

Not impressed at all with the trade

Damn it, why can't we call the most before every pick and all future franchise decisions.

Five DTs came off the board last night and the ones we’d hoped for went well before us.

Sanders was generally ranked in the 5-7 range of DTs in one of the deepest classes in a long time.  So, the fact that we took him as the 6th DT coupled with the fact that SF took Collins next, seems to validate the range of the pick and the trade was fair based on the charts.

The Bills have their “type” and Sanders seems to be a perfect fit.  Here’s another positive write up on Sanders this one from the ESPN:

“Sanders is an outstanding run defender who can play two gaps and one gap. He shoots his hands, stacks blockers and sheds in time to make plays. He's light but is strong, and he holds his ground on-on-one. He slips blocks, locates the ball and wraps up in the backfield. Sanders won't have to come off the field in passing situations. He gets to the quarterback by winning with his hands and his ability to change directions. He excels at running stunts.”

There have been a lot of other positive comments about Sanders pre-draft and post-draft so I won’t rush to judgment. The draft is deep at DT so there’s still hope that we can get a traditional two down DT1 to complement the roster much like Hairston hopefully will and he wasn’t seen as a “Billsy pick” so maybe we’ll make a similar move later on.
