Because he’s going to come in on passing downs and play along side Ed Oliver and cycle into the rotation

During the cycle this dude and Carter are going to have to provide us better run D than we've had.  I don't see it.

He’s actually not wrong. Josh is keeping McDermott and Beane employed

Or the fact that McDermott is a good coach that changed our franchise from a joke to national relevancy. Is there any credit due for selecting the right QB (Allen) or no?

Lol that is just patently not true.  You pessimists love ignoring the hits and hyping the misses.  Pure confirmation bias.

I'm talking about why people are wired the way they are - the drought years.

Years and years of people like you defending pics and they would always be wrong. Yet here you guys are always. I'm not pessimistic. I will praise that the bills draft very quickly when it hits. So far I don't like these pics.

This guy is in an undersized three technique. He will be third on our depth chart. That's not the kind of guy you drafted in the second round.

Literally this team was run all over and it's one of our biggest weaknesses.

I'm sorry after week 6 he would be fourth on the depth chart. Not to mention Hoecht will move around.

#126 on Kiper’s big board….. I just had to keep scrolling.

Beane really was jonesing!

Mel Kiper had Shadeur Sanders ranked fifth, too.

I'm thinking there's a CHANCE that Kiper's rankings aren't the be-all, end-all.

His four sacks of college production means he's worth trading up in the second because he's clearly a game changer.  I'm going to hate myself for complaining later but at the moment i'm kinda WTF.  I hope I'm totally wrong.

The Bills run a gap scheme, so they draft gap d-tackles.  I wish they’d have at least one big guy at DT, but he’d purely a sub package player in buffalo

Don't worry.  We'll keep bringing Jordan Phillips back on 1 year deals til hes 48

Sure thing. Just like Carter was last year when we DESPERATELY needed him in the third round, so much so we got out of the first.

Is Carter now the water boy?

Can we explain why we are trading up for another Ed Oliver backup?

Can anyone?

So that is a fairer question. He's a really good player, but beyond NASCAR package I'm not sure you can get him and Ed on the field together.

Please tell me we didn’t give away our other 2nd round pic for him…

12 of them according to people who don't understand basic math skills.

Yeah he got to stayed employed for this long

when are we gonna up the anty

I'm good with Sanders there. He's powerful and laterally explosive on the interior. I thought we could have stayed put and got Collins. I was wrong.

I don't love the trade. At least our 2nd for their third only moves that pick back 10 spots, i guess?

Why not, why not give up picks, all of them if need be, to get the best 3-4 defensive players they can get?

To add 4-5 players who cannot make the team, and then get poached off the practice squad?

To me, this is the way to go. And to be even more aggressive now, to get their next  guy.

Go Beane!

Friend of mine went to SC.  Said he's a monster DT and we'll love him.  Constantly in the back field and scouts are dumb for not getting him in the first round.  He thinks he'll be a 10 year starter.
