I love how some people think the rest of the draft doesn't matter.   Rounds where we got guys like Benford, Milano,Taron, Shakir, drafted Teller, etc.

This is getting to the point that I almost feel bad for Shadeur. I may not like his father, and I don't like the circus, nor his antics at times. But man, if this doesn't humble him.

Yeah it's philosophy.   I'd rather find an alpha up front on DL, so we don't need Allen to be all world.

 

Same reason I loved Brady going more balanced on offense.  Less pressure on Josh.

 

If we look at how Mahomes/KC has lost in the SB/big games, it's been a steady pass rush.  It hasn't been that the other team out offensed them.  Mahomes will find a way to overcome, ie: 13 seconds.  Just what generational clutch players do.  

 

We need someone to be a consistent equalizer on defense- or collective pass rush.  Need to keep investing there until it works.

the draft is a treasure trove of new talent. I love it all. every year  🙂 always have always will

To be fair to them, there was not a ton of those guys in this draft. Most of the receivers in this class are #2s and #3s... complimentary players. I still want an outside guy with some speed from what is left but I don't expect any of those guys to become a true #1 alpha type.

 

Yeah I mostly agree, despite being the #1 WR advocate on here I was fine going defense early because that's where the value of the class was going to be. I am happy with the players we selected where we selected them. I just hope all the defensive investments end up mattering when it counts.
