Nephilim17 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Get a speed WR, preferably one with size, and I'm happy with this draft. Quote

I'd be looking to do something like that for Royals, Felton, or Horton, whoever happens to still be on the board. I'll be disappointed if our vertical WR addition ends up being like Arian Smith in the 7th. I want a legit prospect. Yeah those three receivers are the three I have my eye on too. 1 Quote

Pressure with front 4- take away quick passing game. This is the right move, it's a player e v a l issue if this doesn't work. Which is my concern, Beane and staff haven't crushed DL historically but now just poured 5 new players into the equation ( so far): Bosa, Oji, Hoecht, Sanders, Jackson. I thought they'd remake the secondary with more speed in FA. Hit Max in draft, S is the weakness- guess they're counting on Bishop/DL to cause enough havoc to hide them. I do understand the strategy. If you just look at the stats especially in the playoffs it seems obvious on the face of it we need defense more than offense. I still feel like over investing in the offense would have been an equally viable strategy, but they went in the more expected direction. I just hope all of the investments create a different result. We apparently don't want to give Allen that alpha that can make a clutch play for him at the end, so the defense needs to be good enough that we don't need that clutch play at the end. 1 1 Quote

The depth on defense always seems to bury us…two years ago we lost all linebackers pretty much and last year we lost the one corner we just couldn’t lose Quote

To be fair to them, there was not a ton of those guys in this draft. Most of the receivers in this class are #2s and #3s... complimentary players. I still want an outside guy with some speed from what is left but I don't expect any of those guys to become a true #1 alpha type. Quote
