I'd agree, but they are clearly counting on two high picks - Kincaid and Keon.  Add in Palmer, Shakir, Cook/Rb room.  We are missing a speed WR--- maybe that's Thornton tomorrow.

 

This offense is built to be an efficient group.

 

Can't win in playoffs with JAGs in secondary/DL.  Love that Beane is trying to kick down the door with a pass rush--- our 3rd down defense was horrible LY.

 

But yes, McD is like the kid at Xmas who got all toys/no clothes --- in a very deep DL draft, it made ALL the sense in the world to double dip up front.  His scouts better got it right this time (as you said).

That is a very fair observation and I have zero response to combat it. If Sanders has a serious impact it be forgotten.. if not we will have a list of guys who we coulda shoulda 😏

I'd argue it's only set because Josh played out of his skin, partially coupled up with Cook's breakthrough. There's not a single WR on the roster who is a stand out, grade A, receiver. Shakir may get there but he's still young.

Love the traits and he would be perfect with one of our 3 fifth rounders.  He just doesn't have a route tree at all.  He runs a go, a post, and a slant.  That's about it.  The rest of it needs work.  But, you don't see guys 6'5" running 4.3 very often.  I would be happy to take him and see if he can expand that route tree.  In the short term, though, just put him on the field once in a while and just let him run and hope to hit a few.

 

I think he has untapped ability to be more than a one dimensional deep threat, so I would risk more to ensure we get him, but yeah hes projected 4th/5th round due to those reasons above.  

 

I wanted Shakir bad and would have taken him as high as the 2nd too.  We stole him in the 5th...hoping we can steal him somewhere too where Beane gets texts again they don't like we got him ha

Landon Jackson was the #43 prospect on NFL Network (Daniel Jeremiah) board.  Getting Jackson at #72 is very high value on his board.

They actually get the medicals and talk to the players, unlike draftniks.

I think they will take a receiver with their first pick tomorrow. Currently #132.... but I think they will use another day 3 pick to get up a bit higher in the 4th.
