If we package some picks to move down to the early 4th I could see us going to get some help. I know Bond has a lot of bad press but if he slides to the 4th I'd love to see the Bills go for him. They punted more times in the Super Bowl than they've punted against us in all 3 playoff matchups combined. Let's be real, our defense has been a massive disappointment in those games. So we gave McDermott all his toys. I'm not going to totally hate on the strategy. But the strategy needs to produce a different result. 3 5 2 1 Quote
MasterStrategist Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago 3 minutes ago, HappyDays said: I'll say this - we just spent all of our premium picks on defense. McDermott got all of the big investments. These players have to show up in the playoffs, no more games against KC where they never punt. In a vacuum I'm not a fan of drafting zero offensive players in the top 100 and once again leaving Allen to do it all on his own. But we'll see if they picked the right players which is ultimately what matters. I'd agree, but they are clearly counting on two high picks - Kincaid and Keon. Add in Palmer, Shakir, Cook/Rb room. We are missing a speed WR--- maybe that's Thornton tomorrow. This offense is built to be an efficient group. Can't win in playoffs with JAGs in secondary/DL. Love that Beane is trying to kick down the door with a pass rush--- our 3rd down defense was horrible LY. But yes, McD is like the kid at Xmas who got all toys/no clothes --- in a very deep DL draft, it made ALL the sense in the world to double dip up front. His scouts better got it right this time (as you said). 2 Quote

I'd argue it's only set because Josh played out of his skin, partially coupled up with Cook's breakthrough. There's not a single WR on the roster who is a stand out, grade A, receiver. Shakir may get there but he's still young. Quote

He runs a go, a post, and a slant. That's about it. The rest of it needs work. But, you don't see guys 6'5" running 4.3 very often. I would be happy to take him and see if he can expand that route tree. In the short term, though, just put him on the field once in a while and just let him run and hope to hit a few. I think he has untapped ability to be more than a one dimensional deep threat, so I would risk more to ensure we get him, but yeah hes projected 4th/5th round due to those reasons above. I wanted Shakir bad and would have taken him as high as the 2nd too. We stole him in the 5th...hoping we can steal him somewhere too where Beane gets texts again they don't like we got him ha Quote

Tulsabillsfanz Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Landon Jackson was the #43 prospect on NFL Network (Daniel Jeremiah) board. Getting Jackson at #72 is very high value on his board. 1 Quote

Do you suppose they go BPA or postitional picks moving forward? as always we hope we get BOTH I think they will take a receiver with their first pick tomorrow. Currently #132.... but I think they will use another day 3 pick to get up a bit higher in the 4th. 2 Quote
