Fine with the decision to move up. Leading up to the draft we all wanted Beane to be aggressive to get the players we coveted. We still have a multiple picks and I’m good if Beane continues to stay aggressive to get impactful players. Package some of those later picks to move up again if needed!

The reality is mcbeane wants pass rushers at DT.  I'm not going to gripe about pressure up the middle.

People just have a reallyyyy hard time with reading comprehension online. I’m no exception. I have at times too.

 

I would argue that some people are too rigid in their terms of debate and try to score arbitrary points rather than discuss matters more holistically in a less binary way. But that's just me.

You can say you like the value because we got xyz back. Thats fine. But it is UNDENIABLE that it cost 2 second round picks.

I don’t think anyone is questioning that the Bills paid two second rounders picks.

 

What everyone is saying is that those two picks (plus a 4th) got back more than just TJ.  It got back TJ, pick 72, and a 7th.

 

You keep arguing against a trade that didn’t happen-two seconds for TJ as though the other picks aren’t included.

well we just picked a very good interior pass rusher, signed Bosa, Hoecht and Oji. 

 

And drafted a corner capable of making game changing plays.

 

I'd say this looks like an Eagles draft, retool the dline and secondary.

 

Very happy with the strategy so far. Cover passes and rush the passer. Bills fans are obsessed with fat run stuffers. Funny enough Philly took that guy in Jordan Davis and he's been one of their few draft disappointments in recent years.

 

Now get a WR with vertical traits in the 3rd round and we're off.

That's what I wanted out of today, Sanders and Oladejo. I suppose if you had asked me before the start if giving up 109 could guarantee that, I'd have taken you up on it.

I think it is fair to ask how much you can get him and Ed on the field together. Again @gonzo1105 and I talked about whether you can take a high 3T and then balance it with Ogunjobi when he is back.... can you carry three 3Ts... I wonder if it just means Ogunjob plays more 1T which he did in Cleveland.

I figured we'd take another depth three later on in this draft as a kind of what the hell kind of pic, especially considering that guy from Pittsburgh doesn't get back until week 6. I was not expecting them to take a 3 in the second round. Let alone trade up and give some serious capital for it. I don't like the draft this year guys. I think it's already kind of a head. Scratcher it feels like a drought era draft, just a lot of really questionable moves.

 

We'll see how it plays out though.

Yea I think that Beane gave a big clue in his presser when he talked and hinted at the possibility of DeWayne Carter playing the 1T and then we discussed that and I think the idea is that Carter, Ogunjobi, a draft pick and Jones would handle the 1T duties.

and as I said earlier, the 49'ers were all set to take him at #43.

 

Their board is really pissed.
