Taking TJ Sanders cost 2 second rounders. no, he cost 1. We got 41, they got 56 and 63. 2-1=1. I thought this was settled when we traded for watkins. Just because they used the pick for a player doesn't mean they didn't have a pick anymore. 1 Quote

The trade in isolation is fine. The pick in isolation is fine. The two together is where the question lies. 1 Quote

Sanders 2025 third-round pick (No. 72) 2025 seventh-round pick (No. 240) (from Vikings through Browns) Bears receive: 2025 second-round pick (No. 56) 2025 second-round pick (No. 62) 2025 fourth-round pick (No. 109) My quick math on the Rich Hill Model is Bills gave up 212 points and got back 214. Even as you can get. 5 Quote

Sanders is a MUCH better scheme fit for Saleh than Alfred Collins. They could have taken Alexander if that's the case. He was wrecking guys at the Senior Bowl by the accounts I've seen. PS - I DID draft Sanders when I was the 49ers in the TSW Movk Draft 1 Quote
Nephilim17 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago As per @GunnerBill's thought that we did NOT LOSE 2 seconds... Look at it this way: 1. We moved up 15 spots from 56 to 41 2. We moved down 10 spots from 62 to 72. We lost one of our two fourths and got pick 240. That's not egregious at all to go up 15 spots. We only move down 10 with our second 2nd-rounder. 8 1 Quote

muppy Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago (edited) a bit of a mixed opinion on his size his game AND compensation I am squarely on the fence . He needs to show up and show OUT just like any draft pick I'm good with a diamond in the rough . If he is really Baller it will show out. and You KNOW I hope he will 🙂 Edited 11 hours ago by muppy Quote

Collins is the only guy left that anyone could make a case for imo….. and he’s a terrible pass rusher. If we’re going to draft someone strictly to plug the run, with no pass rush ability, I’d rather take them with a later pick But that means forcing the next pick, and that's basically your draft. But then they had a chance to catch a faller early on day 3, maybe there's a Mukuba or Tory Horton at 109. That's what's gonna chap me. Quote
Richard Noggin Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Sanders was very likely the 49ers pick (as Gunner pointed out). And Collins was next pick at DT, so he would likely have been gone by 56 as well. Beane wanted a DT, and got a good one. And only moved back from 62 to 71 (plus lost a nice early 4th rounder, but trades have costs). 2 1 Quote
BillsFanForever19 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago 56, 62, and 109 = 212 pts. 41, 72, and 240 = 210 pts. So a fairly even trade. It's ever so slightly titlted to the Bears. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart-Rich-Hill.asp 1 1 Quote
