We gave up a 3rd for an old washed up Amari Cooper…not sure a 4th will cut it.

But Cooper didn’t come with the baggage that Pickens does, so….. 🤷‍♂️

Plus we paid a premium for Coopers contract. He cost us like 800,000 last season when we barely had any cap space.

Cooper didn’t come with a compensatory pick either…have to think Pickens would.

Mid-season. It makes a lot of sense. It was a desperation type move and you have to overpay there.

If Steelers are desperate for draft picks and Tomlin is over him, then yeah 4th may do it.

This guy has played with ZERO good QBs and has put up great numbers. I would take him in a heartbeat. I think our culture/Josh would mellow him out.

I think Pickens would be a blast on this team. Ton of talent and attitude and Josh keeps him in line. He could put up some crazy numbers here. I don’t mind a bit of chaos!

Maybe. I think he’s super talented but he struggled to keep it together for a national championship team at Georgia. He may just be crazy.

if Beane talks with Josh and we’re okay with the possible nonsense….. worth the risk

Josh is more of a leader now and it’s possible Pickens attitude could be “leashed”

Making jump balls a larger part of our game is not my first idea about how to get better.  Give me a down field route runner with decent to good speed and size.  For all the Pickens love there's not much difference between his game and Coleman's game.  Coleman stays healthy he could probably put up 900 yards and 3TDs.  Moreover the guy ended up on the bench a lot because of attitude.  We got rid of Diggs for a reason.

Was Cooper washed up or was it our OC didn't know how to use him ?

Inquiring minds want to know

I think the wrist injury was a real thing and it will have an effect on how we perceive the whole situation. They talked about surgery, so it was not a small thing.
