If the Bills think that the situation is really unsolvable with Cook I MIGHT consider Cook in exchange Pickens and a their 2026 3rd.

 

I think the dude is a headache and I am inclined to say no.

I wouldn't have any problem with the Bills throwing a 4th rounder at either him or Jameson Williams in a contract year.

That's a fair price for a high end rental even if you have no intention of re-signing him.

I doubt either team would actually do it, though.

Sounds like they want a day 2 pick. I like Pickens as a talented player but that is too much with this being the final year of his deal. A day 3 pick and I’d be interested even though he is kooky.

We don't know, but his his 63 receptions in 2023 for 1140 yards, and over 18 yards a reception, and his 59 for 900 yards and over 15 ypc last year indicate he could be the kind of down field threat who can take this offense to an even higher level. 

 

As he did those things with less than average quarterback play each year. So he seems almost like a sure fire high level starter for the Bills.

 

Unlikely though, as the Bills are almost assuredly looking for an inexpensive down field threat in the draft, if at all.

 

I think most talented wide receivers would be unhappy in the kind of dysfunctional, antiquated offense that Tomlin runs.  It is a dead end street, but does not seem to matter to him.

 

But things are really looking up for the Steelers next year, with Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson on board, ready to take that offense to new heights. I cannot imagine Pickens not wanting to stick around to be part of that offensive makeover..

We gave up a 3rd for an old washed up Amari Cooper…not sure a 4th will cut it.

True.  But I dont see Pickens being nearly as talented as Brown and I dont believe Brown had issues with effort.  But maybe I am wrong.  On the other hand I think playing with JA brings a level of stability and leadership.

not quite. BUT maybeeeee the Bills believe they could harness Pickens energy correctly

 

he’s easily capable of being elite with Josh

Why the hell would the Steelers trade a talented, cheap player for a 4th? He’s crazy but I would rather keep him than move him for that price.

So I am usually not for adding headaches... but if this guy runs himself out of the burg, I would hope that going on his second team he would at least be able to keep it in between the lines for a year because if he gets run out of a second team... its gonna cost him... but there is always that chance he just is incapable and that immature... but for a 4th I just might take the shot.
