the point is that everyone knew they were zero'd in on this guy so I'm sure they were getting offers all day Wednesday.  Unless you think the Browns were going to take Dart (no indication), Dart would have been there at 34.

I had some crazy idea that maybe the rams would but that was a super long shot

Daniel Jones got coached by Daboll for two years and he still sucked.  Jones was a better prospect than Dart. This was an awful QB class and Dart is worse than Zach Wilson. This will cost them their jobs. Sandars didn't get drafted above Dart because nobody wanted to deal with daddy, but Jaxon Dart is not an NFL starter.

Couldn’t disagree more. Dart is going to be good.

All the DTs taken so high when it’s the deepest position in the draft

I was surprised by that, it is a big need for the Bills. I don’t want them to reach, what do they do tonight? Take Collins no matter what?

The Jags/Browns trade for me since I very rarely ever say that the Browns did very well in a trade but they potentially landed a top 15 pick in the 1st next year. I really liked the Mason Graham pick, I think he'll be a stud playing next to Garrett. The Browns now can take Sanders?Milroe or whichever QB they wish at a much less cost if it doesn't pan out. I also hate this move for the Jags although I love the prospect in Travis Hunter who could be a generational type talent but the Jags were not a player away imo from a SB and now have no 1st in next years draft.

100% truth... also the kid that Deon raised isnt worth his own attitude and entitlement... combined with the fact you are drafting Deon to be in your locker room ... with a sprinkle of .... he is really not that good... which is what the coaches are saying... read an article where the interviewing coach said...  He was the worst interview we had, he is never on time, takes stupid sacks, with no pocket discipline... plus he is just not that good.

If he was elite, any desperate team would put up with the old man or just lock him out.  But the kid's a dud.

that would be odd. McVay has shown no talent for developing a QB.

Yes, but, after seeing the clips of Dart playing, I get it.  He looks like young Josh Allen in a number of the moves he showed.  I understand why Daboll and Giants went that way.  they had a big success in Buffalo w the real Josh Allen.  They are going to try to replicate that in NY.

You left what I thought was the biggest...the absurd bounty Jags paid - on the level you should only do for a QB - to move up and get a WR on a team who is terrible in the trenches.  They gave up 1st, 2nd, 4th and next years 1st.  Forget WR/CB, they better hope Hunter can play LT & DT instead.

Browns made out in that trade...big time.  The only good move I have seen them make in a long time.  Jags GM is the youngest in the league and out here running the team like its a Madden game franchise.  They were not a WR away from contending...their OL and DL have serious issues and now they have no ammo to address it.  Was Hunter worth taking at 2 overall...absolutely...was it a good move based on what they gave up...not in my opinion.

Totally agree that was absurd for the Jags, (great for CLE).  I'll put that under terrible move, but the Jags doing it is not really a terrible surprise, IMO.  I guess CLE making a good trade is a suprise.

I agree, to me there was a large contingent of players looking like spoiled brats with their clothes.  Golden looked/acted like the biggest Diva out there to me, but it is what it is.

To be fair, in today’s world many pro athletes are born and raised with this goal in mind the entire time. These guys lived a different life than the average Joe. It’s not the way it was many years ago. You see this across the board in every major sport.

I was surprised nobody moved to 30ish to grab Sanders. It’s a QB league. Feels like a different flavor of the Lamar draft.

The “Lamar draft” had 5 legitimate 1st round talents… this to me felt more like the”EJ Manuel draft”.

It really does, but that’s why I think this is about teams not wanting to deal with Deion. You’d think Sanders would have intrigued a QB hungry team to reach for him. That typically happens every draft. Anyone who watched Sanders play could easily see how he might appeal to a desperate team.

Browns/Jags trade was the only big surprise.

So many were saying this draft was a total mystery, and nobody had ANY IDEA what was going to happen.  Outside of swapping the team names at #2 and #5, the first 8-9 picks were pretty much on-point with the majority of mock drafts.

I think most had Tyler Warren going as the first TE and Jalon Walker as the next DE, but nothing else was really out of line.  There wasn't a huge difference in talent outside of the Top 10, so guys like Kenneth Grant could have gone anywhere in there.  Grey Zabel was maybe the biggest reach.  Will Johnson was the biggest faller, although I saw many people calling his drop weeks ago due to the injury.

Lots of signs that Sanders was going to fall out of the 1st Round too, and that Dart had overtaken him as #2.  Some were in denial and just didn't want to believe it.  Teams are looking for a particular kind of personality and leadership vibe at the QB position, especially with the risk involved taking one in the 1st Round.

I knew Grant was going early because he is who I wanted for the Bills and I can never have nice things. Will Johnson not going makes me think his injury is worse than is being reported because his game on tape is impressive.

They are calling him out as the next Josh Allen, just because he is going to be coached by Daboll

have to agree on this move...they way overpaid...The Prince does not need another WR (they already have Bryan Thomas)...he needs to be protected with a better OL.   That team is set up for failure.

Nah, they're saying that cause he's got that dawg in him. Reminds me of Josh. I certainly wouldn't say he's the next Josh. Does he have similar traits and physical stature, for sure

Got it.

NFL calibre player:  Not a guarantee.

Politician: Riding dad's coattails, he's a shoo-in.

He’s gonna have to try it again pretty soon 🤣

I agree that this is more like “EJ Manuel draft”, but as it turned out the “Lamar” draft really only had 3 legitimate 1st round talents.

Josh was looked at as being worse than Darnold, Rosen, & Baker too but then there's that ...
