I think that the trade & Will Johnson are the right answers. Dart going ahead of Sanders wasn’t a surprise. The winds started blowing that way a few weeks ago. Additionally, Sanders falling out of the 1st became a possibility. I thought someone may come up to the end of the round for him but it has been POSSIBLE lately that he could be QB4. That’s still out there.

The other major surprise was the Falcons for a 2nd year in a row.

I went with dart but it was more that the giants traded up than him getting picked before sanders

Joe Schoen’s son gave away that they were taking Dart in an Instagram post on Wednesday…

I think this move will lead to:

Brian Daboll, 2026 Buffalo Bills Passing Game Coordinator.😁

"Daboll in the booth!"

"Daboll in the booth!"
"Daboll in the booth!"

Just keep the rageaholic away from the players. 🤔

Just like his father.  Except his father was actually good.

He’s wearing the same crap everyone else is.  If you don’t like him, fine, but the giant chain/belt buckle necklace is the thing this year apparently.

I agree, to me there was a large contingent of players looking like spoiled brats with their clothes.  Golden looked/acted like the biggest Diva out there to me, but it is what it is.

Zero surprise about Sanders. Seeing early mock drafts with him going top 3 always felt like gaslighting. ESPN legit tried to manipulate society into believing he was a top talent.

I agree with this... especially after hearing coaches talk about how he interviewed... Nepo-Baby is appropriate..  He has this Ryan Nassib hype around him... like he is gonna go 3... ooops I meant 3rd Rd LOL... (although I honestly dont think he gets by Cleveland in Rd2) Will Johnson was really surprising to me, but they may have some solid intel on his injury history to make him a 1... I dont think he lasts long in the 2nd.  What is the most surprising is honestly how few surprises there were in the first Rd...  I thought Jihaad Campbell would go quicker... but honestly it was pretty tame... then again I was really watching thru the lense of what player do I really want the Bills to get that is free falling and may make it to us...  Cause I feel like if there was one of those Beane would have traded up...  I think when Grant went to Miami and Nolen went early, that was over...

Haha yea the player isn’t surprising but I think he would’ve been there round 2 for the giants pick…unless they were hearing rumors someone else was gonna trade up and jump them maybe?

the point is that everyone knew they were zero'd in on this guy so I'm sure they were getting offers all day Wednesday.  Unless you think the Browns were going to take Dart (no indication), Dart would have been there at 34.

I don't think Jaxson Dart was a surprise at all--actually is was expected by many mocks, including Schrager's. It was the worst kept secret that the Rams and Giants had a trade in place a week ago, and Dart was the target (although some had the Bills and Giants trading).

As we got to the 20s and those QBs were there I honestly thought the Bills were going to trade with the Giants or Cleveland so they could take a QB... but the Giants got a bit more aggressive then that. I think they thought if they dont make that move with LA then LA takes a QB and they didnt know which so they paid the price...  they were also contending with what Cleveland might do...  I suspect they take Sanders at 33

I think the Penix trade was shocking, but a team that had 31 sacks (31st in the league) maneuvering the draft to get 2 pass rushers in the first is not shocking to me.  Bijan, London, Pitts are all approaching extension territory so it's kind of now or never for them to try and make a jump to the playoffs.

It's time to call it what it is: this kid has never in his life been coached by anyone but his old man.  no team wants to deal with Deon.  his kid's n ot worth the guaranteed headache "Coach Prime" would bring.

100% truth... also the kid that Deon raised isnt worth his own attitude and entitlement... combined with the fact you are drafting Deon to be in your locker room ... with a sprinkle of .... he is really not that good... which is what the coaches are saying... read an article where the interviewing coach said...  He was the worst interview we had, he is never on time, takes stupid sacks, with no pocket discipline... plus he is just not that good.

The price paid was shocking (Jags/Browns price too). It wasn’t a shock to see them take another rusher. It was shocking to see a 1st next year and 2nd this year. It is a giant price.
