Ir wouldn't surprise me. Guys like Dane & Tre are 1 year rentals.

All stuff I read was Johnson has knee issues that's why he is still on the board, our injury issues in the back half worries me

Mary Kay Cabot

@MaryKayCabot

#Browns likely to draft a quarterback on Day 2 of the #NFLDraft, and possibly a tight end & running back--->

I would legit consider him at 62...but ideally we get back in the 3rd and get him there, although I think he can come off anywhere from late 2nd to 4th.  So if they want him, I wouldn't be mad if he was the guy at 62 which would tell me they came away from his interview and private workouts with the same opinion I have...which he is both an elite vertical prospect with untapped potential to be a future starter and more than just a deep threat.

DO IT BEANE!  :)

Where is he projected?

Yeah, I was pretty upset when we passed him. I was under the assumption he was coming off an injury that would still have him ready to play by Week 1. But then it came out his injury isn't the main issue - it's that he has a degenerative knee issue. And if that's the case, I totally understand passing on him.

We got a find a way to get a 3rd round pick again and have 3 picks with our 2 2nds and a 3rd.

Then we need to get a DT, DE and WR.

I'd like to get (at this point)....

Whoever our favorite DT is

DE Nic Scourton

WR Jalen Royals

Getting a 3rd will be easy.

thry have a high 4th and can trade that with 5th/6th and get into the 90s late in 3rd.

Why would we take Amos?

I know you're responding to the first guy who said this...but just curious on rationale.

Benford signed long term, Max 1st round pick, Taron locked up ---  Amos to sit the bench?

I mean we're pretty solid across thr board, but that a total luxury pick

Most projections say like 4th...but 6'5" and 4.3 speed is getting peoples attention.  I doubt he makes it to the 4th.  He has reportedly been crushing his interviews and workouts too.  I think he is going to go earlier than projections had been saying.

ESPN in their best available rankings have him at 237OA so 6/7/ UDFA round grade.

Because of  his size/ speed a team may take a flyer on him with a higher pick

Does anyone else still think about the fact that at one point the Bills 52nd pick, which came from Minnesota, was looking to be an early 2nd rounder maybe even as low as 35?  Then the Vikings exceeded all expectations and the whole time I was thinking damn...

Those grades and projections are pretty meaningless though.  Once you get out of the early rounds, those things are wildly different from team to team and how picks flow.  IMHO Thornton likely doesn't make it to our pick at 109 and I think likely goes 3rd round.  Lot of teams showing interest, including Bills.

Something tells me Benford aint right and Bills know this. Just a hunch (from his injury. His neck is questionable).

Your hunch is that we just gave him a big extension while knowing he has a major neck injury?

My response was more toward Will Johnson than Amos.  You can get out of Taron's contact after this season. I think it's just a 4M dead cap. I'm not saying any of this will happen, obviously we need DL help first and foremost. Realistically guys like Emannwori, Amos and Will Johnson are likely long gone by 56.
