Shedeur Sanders, obviously.  I think he can bulk up and play 1-technique.

 

 

Heading into the 2nd round, I'm looking for about what I wanted in the first: Players who will make a positive impact.  If that's just 1 guy in a tradeup, I'm okay with it as long as he actually pans out.  If it's 2 guys, and both of them pan out, even better.  I'm hoping there'll be value at 1tech DT, but if there isn't, I won't kill the Bills for not reaching.  I'd only be upset if they drafted an RB and an ILB or something like that.  Anyone they draft tonight needs to be someone we can reasonably expect to see the field this year, and hopefully start at some point of their rookie deal.  I don't think that's too much to ask.

 

My ideal Night 2 would give us a 2nd-tier 1tech, and whoever is the biggest faller at Edge or WR.  I also think it's pretty likely that the Bills move up at least once, maybe twice, tonight.  Gunner had 57 "2nd round worthy" prospects on his board, including borderline 2nd/3rd grades.  If the Bills board is similar, that puts both of our picks right on the edge of where the 2nd round grades will run out.  (And of course, if the last couple 2nd round graded guys are at positions where we're set this year, that's not super appealing.)  Especially if we get in the range where a trade up is only going to cost us one of our 5th rounders or something like that.

I really want Beane to be aggressive in the 2nd and 3rd rounds to get some impactful players. We have plenty of draft capital to move around and it’s highly likely most of the later picks won’t make the roster.

62. KJ Winston PSU S. Winston tore his ACL in Sept. Ran a 4.50 40 at pro day 6 months later. Was 4.38 prior to ACL, so he’s got good speed. Had zero missed tackles in 2023. Projected as first round player prior to ACL tear. 
 

Package 4 and 5 to move into mid round 3 and take best WR left out of Horton, Royals, Williams, Noel

All of our round 5 and 6 picks totals ~90 trading value points... that gets you to bottom of round 3 ish.

Exactly. Hoping they'll be good isn't the same as they're being good. Rapp is merely adequate when he's healthy, and Bishop is a projection. He could be another Elam for all we know. Yes, he missed time in training camp, but he certainly didn't wow the coaches over the course of the season. I'm hopeful but not at all confident. If you have just one bad safety, like Hamlin, it screws up the whole defense. If he has a Kincaid-like sophomore year, they'll have two meh players and a rookies starting in the secondary.

DT is a huge need and should be a priority. Would like safety next - quality depth at least, future starter.  WR depth would be my next need with a speed guy, big frame.

 

I would also like to see LB. Need better depth.  Not a huge fan of Spector.  Unless they feel Andreessen will climb the depth chart.

 

Regardless if we pick a DT, I expect a few FA’s to be signed.  Would expect to see some familiar faces.

Bills are going to double dip at DT this draft imo.  DTs roll deep into later rounds 

 

what happens if Shakir gets hurt?  Keon, Palmer, Samuel- then who?  Palmer does not replace Amari and Mack.  Bills have a major need at WR IMO.

We have our practice squad guys from last year. Either one or two need to step up, or time to move on from Hamler, Shavers and Virgil. 
 

Sneeky feeling cooper comes back. Not sure how I feel about that.

 

Samuel isn’t a lock to be productive.

 

Yeah, WR is a need.  I don’t think the loss of Hollins is talked enough about. Dude was a  wry good blocker, made some nice catches and solid teammate.

You are sleeping on Derrick Forest.  Rapp, Bishop, Damar, Lewis, Forest- Safety is deeper than DT, Edge, and WR.  We need TE 3 too

I would legit consider him at 62...but ideally we get back in the 3rd and get him there, although I think he can come off anywhere from late 2nd to 4th.  So if they want him, I wouldn't be mad if he was the guy at 62 which would tell me they came away from his interview and private workouts with the same opinion I have...which he is both an elite vertical prospect with untapped potential to be a future starter and more than just a deep threat.

Interestingly enough I saw Rapp yesterday out and about.  I think he may have taken the injury point to heart because that guy is swole.  He looks huge.

Pick 24 of 2nd Rd.... we think he could be there? Def my crush of the day. Also interested in Burden ii (iii?). Cant see him reaching us at that spot though... maybe we go up a few spots if he starts sliding.... but then I think we move back a bit at our next 2nd rd pick to obtain capital to try and get back into 3rd round
