Some would be only there likely in a trade up like Emmanwori for example.  But these are guys that stand out for me on the board, and we have the ammo to be aggressive and move up from 56 too.

I’m gonna say Collins also but I for the second pick- Kyle Williams, Washington State (wr) - just a playmaker that’ll add more of a game changing threat. Don’t get me wrong I think Shakir is great but he’s more of a shifty player.

I think Benjamin Morrison is a great value late in round 2. He can play inside or slot if we think Taron Johnson is losing a step after this season.

 

Xavier Watts as the safety plan B could be an option for some as well.

If the Bills can get a stud S wouldn’t this complete the objective? We have guys all over the defense now. Up to them to make the pro bowl leap (Greggggg!!) we are weak as hell at safety.

I ask all of you to think "what would an upgrade at safety really accomplish in McDermott's D?" Wouldn't we all say prime Micah Hyde & Jordan Poyer were a big upgrade over what we have now? And what did that look like come playoff time?

 

Just remember, it's still McDermott's D. The point is that we could get 2 x studs back there, and the end result doesn't change the way he calls a game. I'm not saying it's ENTIRELY pointless, it's just the move least likely to help this team take a big step forward. I don't think having 2 great safeties back there will turn the tides against the Chiefs.

 

I'd rather double down on our biggest strength - Josh Allen. The side of the ball most likely to see changes year-to-year is offense, so give Joe Brady more tools to help Josh succeed. McDermott & Beane are good at finding defensive talent in the later rounds anyway.

their higher 2nd+ their late 4 th, late 6th, and one of the comp 5 ths and move up 7 spots. Or 2nd+ high 4th

 

they could trade down from their 2nd+ the other 4th and get 2 3rds….like trading with Cleveland for their high 3rd and BUF 3rd they go for Amari

 

they could trade 2 2nds for a higher 2nd and a 3rd.

 

they could trade their high 4th+ 5th and 6th for a 3rd.

I want a late round safety to be insurance for Bishop, but the second is waaaaaay too early. That would be a bad investment imo.

Thin & uninspiring. For a team that keeps getting bounced bc they D-line has not been good enough, this group is not sufficient.

The years they were healthy those safeties looked damn good at playoff time, damn good.

 

Less so against Mahomes when he was getting four seconds and more to throw, but there really isn't much of a way to handle Mahomes with a ton of time.

 

If we can get a bit of a pass rush, with Bosa and some others, more effective safety play could make a huge difference. Not that I expect a safety in the 2nd, I don't. But yeah, I do think it could help us make a big jump up down the line.

Sold Turbo.  That works for me and it would be my fantasy Beane starts his magic by bundling our 2 4th rds to get a 3rd rd pick.  Then our 3 5th rds picks to get a 4th.  Last, but not least our 3rd rd. picks to find a trade partner to get a 5th rd pick.

 

That ends up with 6 total picks in the top 5 rds..  That’s about right as well never actually have 10 picks make the 53.  6 picks all in the top 5 rds is better talent you hope, and we pick up depth for the PS with UDFA’s.

 

There’s my wish list.

I don’t want edge at 56 or 62…the chances of ending up with another Basham or Epenesa are too great at that part of the draft.  Difference making DTs and WRs can be had there, though.  Give me Collins and Kyle Williams.
