Bills First Rnd pick in 2025 draft: Maxwell Hairston - CB - Kentucky

Honestly it's not the flashy pick I was hoping for before the draft started but half way through the Draft I was worried what would be available I'm glad we landed a cb we wanted. The board fell pretty terrible for the last handful of teams. And the good news is I think cb was a must have in this draft, even if tre starts and plays well you need his replacement/backup. Now that the must have is out of the way beane might double dip and take some swings on high upside DTs or speed at reciever.

Tre would be a terrible safety. Safeties are supposed to be good at playing the run and tackling. Tre sucks at that.

Not knowing too much about him, I’m loving his attitude of hitting up every other person with him in the green room getting selected. Seems like he has a good head on his shoulders first, then add on his skills.

Fastest guy in the draft is most certainly a flashy pick!

Has I think the 12th best vertical at the combine and long arms(31 inches) so that should help if there are jump balls...

I didnt hate the pick due to need and speed, but I did want a DT. Harmon was a pipe dream, so here we are. Then I realized this was the guy hugging all the other first round picks and I am now completely enamored with this dude. #gobills

4.28 speed. Ball hawk.  39 in vertical.  
 

This is the type of player the Bills secondary has been dying for.  
 

Who in the Bills secondary has even close to that kind of speed? 
 

I don’t know if he is a day 1 starter.  It will depend on how Tre looks, but he’ll be in the mix for sure.  
 

Love the pick.  Hopefully he reaches his potential.

Is 31 long?  Amos, Revel, Porter, and Thomas all have longer arms.  I keep reading the long arms thing and it's in articles written when he was still 6'1" and 186 pounds (pre combine).

most people do not even know who is on what roster.  I was listening to the cowboys websites draft show because i like the info broaddus has.

 

When buffalo picked they said hairston is the new starting corner then said buffalo does not have any good corners and then laughed at somebody name johnson, benford, ingram etc.

 

these guys are paid to cover the nfl 365/24/7.   

 

they also think elam is great.

As long as the guy can cover.  I wish he was 10 pounds heavier but if he stops QB's from throwing to his side of the field and can bring a rb down I don't care.
