I hope so.

feels like some clarity on the situation is needed which is why I posted about it.

Dude, do you think every woman out there is some innocent princess? I’ve come across some horrible people over the years and some of them were women. Women can be just as bad as men if not worse!

One out of four women were sexually assaulted in college. Legit actual reporting of statistic, doesn't mean prosecuted for verified.

Source please.

I'm sorry.  That's just not something an assault victim does.  You talk to the police.  You talk to your family.  You talk to your therapist. You don't go to social media, calling attention to yourself.

YOU might not. Doesn’t mean someone else wouldn’t

You may be right, but largely a sexual assault is not something a woman wants to publicize.  Even though there is more success in prosecuting cases with DNA testing, women are very hesitant to come forward publicly.  There is still always the he said/she said aspect challenging consensuality, having one's sexual history put out for public consumption.

When you post to social media, you aren't looking for justice.  You're looking for something else in "the court of public opinion.".   That something else could be a number of things ranging from vindication to vengeance.

Naturally, this is just my opinion.

can we just go back to complaining that he's to short and light?...

for the record....

Stephon Stiles Gilmore  (Gilly Lock)

Position: CB

6-0, 190lb

seems to me that plenty good cbs are in the 5'11-6' and 190ish lb range.

After watching the video of him and his first 24 hours in Buffalo I swear I saw him when I was leaving the Bandits game at the Courtyard Marriott hotel loading up luggage into a car with some other people(assume they were Bills employees?).

Had the same hat and suit on...can anyone confirm if that was him or was he staying there?

UK,local police, and the Bills investigated the allegations.  No charges were filed.

Give it a rest.

She posted to social media a year after the event. Her first response was to report to the police, the university and seek medical help. The post came a year later after the investigations stalled, presumably from a place of anger and frustration that more wasn't done.

That doesn't make it true, btw, but in terms of understanding why she did that I think it provides important context. Posting on social media was a last resort after other avenues to pursue justice, as she saw it, had closed off.

Its tough.  Im not discounting the accusation.  All these years later and all there is a reddit thread on it from years ago.  Kentucky is a bball school and Hairston wasnt a highly rated recruit.  Would have had to be from either a recruiting visit or early in his career because he was a minor at the time.

Are people really thinking Hairston is short? Corners on average range between 5 foot 10 and 6 feet so Hairston seems to be right in that range.

maybe premium ones have got taller lately, but avg..yes.  And yes the consensus compaint seems to be his size, height and weight.

He's 5'11-1/4" which is tall enough and more or less the height of the majority of Pro Bowl CBs.  And he's already up to 190#.

Seems them comped to Darrell Green. Green was probably faster. If he is close to Green- we did well!

When a CB is as fast as Hairston is, Darrell Green is one of the first comparables that comes to mind so it's interesting to note that Darrell Green was barely 5'9".

It's gotten lost in the 37 pages but it bears mentioning again that Hairston's measurables are almost identical to those of Denzel Ward, who Cleveland took 4th overall in 2018 and has made 4 Pro Bowls.

I think maybe sometimes fans get stuck in the mode of everyone is either short or tall. Hairston is definitely not tall for a CB at 5’11; he’s average. IMO 5’9” is where you start getting into Short, and Tall starts at about 6’1”.
