And on the other side that means I can live with some growing pains Hairston's first year or two if he is a bit over aggressive and undisciplined at times in his pursuit and gives up a few big ones over the top because on the flip side he is going to make some plays for you, turn the ball over and score.

There's certainly going to be a few facepalm moments as he adjusts to frighteningly efficient NFL offenses, but I've been ready to accept that for years now.

Risks on defense are a little less risky when you have Josh Allen on the other side of the ball.

I normally buy into the hype of a Bills draft pick...like I bought into Elam when he said "put the playbook on the plane" so I am naive I guess.  That being said this young man's enthusiasm is contagious, his speed is lightning and his personality is engaging, confident and like an instant family member.  Wow....

I like it.  Good height, great speed which is lacking in the secondary and seemed to be psyched to be drafted by the Bills.

Move Tre to Safety.

intriguing idea.  I like it. I wonder if he would perform well in that defensive position

My god I just watched Buffalo plus recap.  100% negativity.  They even insinuated beane was upset, didn’t want him and was defensive about the pick.

ridiculous.  This is what happens when you obsess over wr 90% of your football viewing time.

its going to be months of hearing about how this guy can’t tackle and is too small when he is 5”11 somewhere between 183 and 192 and has 31 7/8th inch arms.

absurd.

with his speed and the boneheaded moves that we are talking about to be likely he will truly thrive on having reliable and smart safeties behind him. unfortunately we don't have hyde and poyer in their prime which helped white grow and covered many of our other flaws.

this reminds me of the Stephon Gilmore draft video. Same incredible excitement and energy.

Trying to find the link on YouTube but when I search it says “video does not exist!”

He doesn’t have to tackle them if he doesn’t allow a catch in the first place.

🤔🤔🤔

even better yeh

They already said no to that.   Sal didn’t point out this morning though that ingram could do that if they wanted but probably won’t with him either.

Beane pre-draft said basically he thinks Tre is smart enough to do it but "we are not there."

I am sure they will start camp with Tre in the corner rotation. But if Max looks ready early I don't rule them out looking at Tre at FS. At least with the idea that he backs up both spots off the bench.

Things to take note during Brandon Beane's presser.

1. He is a WILLING TACKLER

2. He played in the 180's pounds and he is in 190's now

3. Did not feel the need to move up or down.

4. Versatile.

I love the pick.

Sounds like a of we draft another CB in the mid rounds and he’s good we’ll move him talk

Well you've already got Benford as CB1 and Taron as CB3.  Hairston ideally becomes CB2 which then gets them to move Tre' to safety.  Not sure a mid-round CB will be starting material.

Like Benford?  A mid round guy is rotational while he develops.

I don't see him having the skillset to not only succeed here but to pass any of our starters.

I would double dip at CB,grab a 1 tech, a Safety and WR.

We're almost in BPA territory here.

I want another young DT with one of those 2nd round picks if a smart opportunity is there, but outside of that I think they could go almost any direction and come out ahead.

Not about starting , they need to feel that Hairston and a mid round boundary corner are good to go. If they take another outside CB that can play STs especially than Dane Jackson isn’t going to make it imo. I’m guessing if they move  Tre to safety he’d be a starter or why move him in the first place.

CB: Hairston, Ingram

CB: Benford, Mid Round pick

FS: White, Forrest or Hamlin

SS: Bishop, Rapp

NCB: Johnson, Lewis

That’s 10 DBs. In this case either Ingram or Lewis doesn’t make it. Dane Jackson in real trouble as it is rn because he offers nothing on Teams

I love the kid being a Bill and if he wouldn't have been there by our 2nd pick, I like it even more. According to the pundits this was a reach and there were "better" available, so he very well could have landed to us in the 2nd. Seems like a Bill in character. If we get Farmer in the 2nd, we won the draft.

Thad Brown should at least know he is 192 lbs now not 183...

And apparently the shoulder was mostly due to an infected needle - not injury prone bc small
