I would not be surprised especially if Will Johnson, Revel, Amos etc.. are to be had... the one thing I can see is a Saftey like Emannwori with a little 2nd rd drop and a 2 and a 4 trade up to get him.  McD loves his Safeties and if they are not sold on Bishop then I can completely see this.. even if they are sold on Bishop I think he would be happy with his next Poyer/Hyde combo ...

Elam felt like the only CB McDermott didn't get maximum utilization for. Giving McDermott a player with that type of elite speed I trust him to coach him up.

Yea it might be overkill and not sure I’d do it on the clock but if one of these CBs is sitting at 56 you’d have to at least entertain the thought.

Watching Beebe catch Leon Lett from behind in the Super Bowl, he def had the "golden wheels".  Beebe's 4.25 matched Deion as the fastest 40 up to that time.

no offense but I think you are somewhat confused in your criticism,

I would be pumped to come away with Will Johnson in the 2nd, even if it requires a trade up. With all the passing in the league, I don’t care if you have 6 starting CBs on the roster, you can’t have enough. 
 

More realistically, there are a lot of WR and S options left and adding one of each in the 2nd would be great.  This team NEEDS a starting FS and I’ll argue to the death they don’t have one and the SS isn’t much better until Bishop proves otherwise.   Rapp is a solid back up, the fact he’s starting and doing ok is a testament to McD and a sad state of affairs for the talent in the secondary.  In my opinion, the back field had exactly 2 guys who are starters in the league playing last year and they managed to do really well considering everything.  I’m not a McD fan, but he gets A LOT out of DBs.  Give him more talent and let’s see what he can do.

It could be like Rousseau and Basham... but in the end I could see it... I do think them going safety is more likely if they dont go DT or WR.  I know they like this Joshua Farmer kid... I would be surprised if we dont see us draft him if we keep both 2s.

This kids speed gets him where he needs to be and he has some feisty in his game ... Like in the highlight reel up above, I can see Hairston on the receiving end of pick 6's fairly often... QB's better be wary.

That is the guy I would take a shot on if we were gonna and move up and double dip for sure... . Revel or Amos.. if we dont move and they are sitting there... I wouldnt be shocked if we took one... I still think Safety is a possibility... If there is a DT or WR they like clearly I think he is going there... it depends how the board falls...

If you do it, you're essentially using a very valuable pick on a guy that's in all likelihood not going to see the field or make any contributions this year, or possibly even in the future, depending on Taron Johnson's arc.

imo, that's really irresponsible when they are going to have plenty of other good options at that spot.

Does anyone know where the 4.25 time comes from ?  Interweb research is inconclusive...

I tend to agree my only thought is Johnson can maybe be a FS with his lack of speed but yea it’s a thought that popped in my head. Guess it would really depend on the board
