His enthusiasm is contagious and I think we are gonna love this kid. hope springs eternal he is as good on the field as he sounds off of it. That's the bottom line. I'll be rooting hard for him to succeed. We need him to. Go Bills Quote

Someone like this is desperately needed on the defense. To help them stay free and loose in the big playoff games 1 1 Quote

Everyone seems so….happy and reasonable. What planet am I on? I will be irrationally upset to make the board normal again! *Ahem* I'm not in love with it. I don't think CB was the dire need people have painted it, and I would have much preferred someone in the trenches. That said, DL was pretty picked over and Golden & Starks were gone. With a major drop on CBs, Hairston is probably darn close to BPA and *does* fill *a* need, even if it's not as critical as I think some believe it to be. That said, a three way battle of Hairston-Tre-Dane for the CB2-4 rankings seems to make is one of the deepest CB groups in the league 1 1 Quote

This team needed speed, it shows up every year in the playoffs, and can find a fat guy later. Edited 14 hours ago by YoloinOhio 6 2 Quote

In 2023 he was a much bigger playmaker, in 2024 he was more sound in his coverage but got hurt. This won’t be an Elam pick where you are trying to teach a man corner how to play zone. The Kentucky and Bills defense has a lot of similarities so Hairston should play right away. My only concern for Hairston is his size. That he had a shoulder injury this year and is only 183 pounds will always have me worried but predicting injuries is a fools errand. Of what was left this was a very good pick. 3 1 1 Quote

But if there is a guy he like he is usually effusive in his praise like he has been with Hairston. He was that way with James Cook in 2022 too. Quote

H2o Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) I'm glad we didn't trade up for anyone, and I like the pick. Hairston can play Man or Zone, has the speed to jump routes or recover quickly if need be, and QB's better not miss their mark or hang one in the air because he'll make them pay. No_Matter_What Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Is it me or our DB room quietly got better? Seriously though, if Hairston pans out he can be a great combo with Benford and Tre + Dane provide at least quality floor as backups. 2 2 1 Quote
