30. Buffalo Bills: Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky

Rang: The Bills needed defensive playmakers in this draft to help Josh Allen get over the top and into the Super Bowl, and they certainly found a playmaker in the 2025 Combine speed champ. Hairston, who wins with pure man-to-man cover skills and big-play flair, returning half of his six career touchdowns back for touchdowns. This is one of my favorite picks given his talent and fit with a team needing a "finisher."

My thoughts. Seems like a guy that if he’s doing his job, we won’t hear about him much during broadcasts. He’s lock-down from the jump and stays glued throughout the route, so QBs won’t even look over there. Plus, he’s covering WR2/3 with CB47 on the oppo side

the only thing you can't coach this guy is carrying around a dump truck full of.....SPEED.

 

Cant wait to see how he handles the bigger guys he will face this year in Cincy, Pitt etc.

Knowing how underwhelming nearly every early round defensive pick ends up in McDermott's defense, I'm not super confident this will be any different.

 

But I'm not mad at either. He's gotta be better than Elam, right? And either way, excited that he seems like a good dude & happy to be on the team.

 

However, if we draft another CB in rounds 5 - 7, I fully expect he'll end up being the standout player. That's just how it works on this team 😁

Will johnson is only 3" taller and 11 pounds heavier. Also I guarantee Johnson isn't running a 4.28- 40 time. Also people keep mentioning his tackling yet he was on special teams at Kentucky so he must be at least decent at it.

I like the pick. Harmon/Grant/Nolan were all gone at DT the value was at DE and CB and the team took the CB which you could argue was the teams biggest need. I like what the Bills could do at in round 2 at DE and DT or WR. Cross CB off as a need nice move just wish one of the better DT’s fell.
