I think to make up the 900 point difference by the JJ chart, you have to give next year's 1. I think the overpay is this year's #2, by about a round.

I agree. I think we're saying something similar. Either give up the 2025 picks or the 2026.

He's very good. He is going to a team with no offensive line so he better be.

Ya I like the pick, don't love it, he's a game changer but look at a Saquon in NY, he was as well, it just doesn't equate to wins with a bad roster

I think Jets fans are getting dumber, because they went from booing the picks to cheering them on over time in the montage.

Did you see the one girls face on the reaction to their pick just now. She had no clue how to react at first. Tells you everything you need to know about the Jets pick.

Agreed. For me the overpay is the 2026 1 on top of a 1, 2, and 4 this year.

When we traded for Sammy back in the day, I believe Whaley had the choice between the 2014 2nd and 2015 1st.

Different era and picks but still.

OF course, we took Cyrus Kujo and his arthritic knee.

But not as high as BIG Mike Williams. That said I agree, good player but not good value.

Garrett and Graham , Buff has AFC north next year

Isn't the JJ chart considered outdated at this point? The Rich Hill chart was the next source of truth from what I'd read. Not sure if that chart (albeit updated) is even still in use...

The maths on that trade works out about the same. In fact the RH chart the value given up is slightly closer to what the chart says.... not a big overpay.

Especially since WR isn't a big need, they need to address the trenches.  I mean Bengals have the best QB and duo WR combo in the league and haven't made the playoffs since 2022.  Trevor is NOT Burrow.  Miami is another cautionary tale...another team with a high paid QB and high paid WR's and terrible in the trenches.  And what has it got them?  0 playoff wins, no better than a 6th seed and they missed the playoffs this year and probably miss again this next year.

Youngest GM in the league building a team like young people do...like its a game of Madden and missing on the indisputable fundamentals of you build a roster through your trenches.  Jags have issues in the trenches on both sides of the ball.  And now they have no premium picks this year and lost their first next year.

Ohhhh , wasn’t expecting that and I find it to be a reach to be honest. Plus back to back first round WRs is interesting

The overpay IMHO is the price they paid for the position they took.
