Just have to wait to see what drops. I think there is a good possibility we move up in tomorrows 2nd round but if we stick I expect a DT and either and Edge or a WR Probably going to start a Day 2 mock here Edited 13 hours ago by gonzo1105 3 Quote

Maine-iac Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago (edited) Write up on espn. The Bills were rumored to be all-in on this cornerback group, and they get a player at that position who posted the combine's fastest 40 time (4.28 seconds). Hairston best projects to a slot cornerback role, but the team has a legitimate starter there in Taron Johnson. He does have the quickness and long speed to run with outside receivers, so he could stick on the outside in Buffalo's man coverage heavy scheme. His elite speed is a major asset there. -- Miller Why would they say he projects as a slot corner? Man coverage heavy scheme .......... someone is high? Edited 13 hours ago by Maine-iac 1 2 Quote

Maybe they only watched the AFCCG in which we did play predominantly man? In fairness the last 6 or 7 weeks of last season really from the first KC game we were in the top 10 or 12 man coverage usage. We were 21st on the season but there was a big uptick down the stretch. I think this pick signals they are not backing off that. Let's hope it works out. 1 Quote

They just look at consensus board and take best player remaining. And I am quite sure that it is the best thing you can do lol. 1 Quote

I still don't think any team with a precarious coaching and/or front office situation is going near Sanders and having Deion loom over everything. Edited 13 hours ago by T.E. Quote

I know someone who interned in their personnel department and they are an old school scouting department that put in the grind. I do sometimes wonder if Howie just goes "best big school SEC guy available please" when he gets on the clock! 1 Quote

Like @gonzo1105 said above we are probably too far away - 24 picks - to say. If I was putting together a shortlist for #56 right now it would be: Nic Scourton, Edge Landon Jackson, Edge Brayden Swinson, Edge Jalen Royals, WR Omar Norman-Lott, DT Josh Farmer, DT TJ Sanders, DT My instinct says Scourton and Sanders will definitely be gone. And Jackson probably will (though he fell in our collab mock). Which means Swinson, Royals, Farmer and Norman-Lott are my four best guesses right now as in the mix. We mixed in a decent amount of man down the stretch last year if my memory serves and I doubt these people do as much research as they should lol Edited 13 hours ago by Generic_Bills_Fan 1 Quote

The lowest projection I saw for him was earlier than we took him Not a single person had him over Johnson or Amos. I prefer the Eagles way of drafting round 1 talent. Take the best guy available. Bills try and be too cute with their picks. "Bills DNA." The DNA should be get the best player on the board period. 1 Quote
