Man. Cleveland would have had the opportunity to pair Sanders up with Hunter. Instant chemistry type situation. I'm not Sanders fan but they fumbled a really solid opportunity there.

“Feels” like in the later 1st rd selections, Pitt, Denver, Balt, Eagles and KC had solid picks. Envious of what HOU got trading back w NYG.

That option is still on the table for CLE.

The thing Cosell touches on at the end of the Hairston assessment is EXACTLY the thing - the disruption to passing offense doesn't come from the DL anymore as much as from the secondary coverage and jamming routes on press. Hairston may not be physically dominant on press, he doesn't have the shock I've seen from an Amos or Thomas, but he can be up there, in the QB field of vision without fear because his recovery speed is ELITE.

Only spot on both sides of the ball that we NEEDED a starter (CB). Got one of the top 2-4. I have no problem with the pick. Now load up on DL, all good
