2025 NFL Draft thread - Round 1

Bills fans here have debated for weeks whether Grant is a good pick at 30.  The Dolphins grab him at 13.

 

  It sure looks like they could’ve traded down at least 5-7 spots & still drafted Grant.  Not a great pick for Miami, imo.

Interesting, I have a tab up on my computer to follow Drafttek's running computer simulation of the draft.  Kenneth Grant had been their projection for the Bills' pick, but when Miami took him, Drafttek projected Jalon Walker to the Bills.  He would play more edge in Buffalo than linebacker.

 

If it's Jalon Walker at the Bills slot that's like a turbocharged LorAx to fit in to the role that they (I am assuming) signed Hoecht to reprise.

Vrabel said that no one called them about trading for the 4th pick. Said they would have entertained it.

 

That was the worst pick to have. Couldn’t get one of the top 3 studs, and couldn’t trade down.
