This is the equivalent of a journalist doing what posters do here. There's a million and a half "what if?" clickbait articles based on a journalist floating out an idea of a trade or signing that they think would be a good idea this time of the year.

Tre is our vet CB pickup.  I’d be borderline shocked if we don’t draft a CB early.  Alexander ain’t happening.
