Who do you want the Bills to take/ Who do you think the Bills will take at 30??

If Grant or Harmon are there at 30, I think we should take one because a good penetrating DT will help stop the run/improve the pass rush/get Ed O back to ‘23 form/help to free up the LBs.

If they’re not there, I think the “practical” pick will be a CB—preferably either Amos or Hairston.

If we go CB at 30, with the depth at DT, I think we can still hit on two solid DTs (which I really want) like CJ West, Farmer, Caldwell, etc.  I think the drop off at CB is greater because there isn’t close to the same level of depth.  And, if we take a DT at 30, we have the draft capital to move up if needed from 56 to ease with the drop off at CB.

I could see them taking the best CB left at pick 30 since there are less of those compared to the defensive line.

Depends who is left on the board I suppose though. If everything is going how people think it will go (which is never does) I think they take the CB.

I want at least one Pro-Bowl impact player from this draft, preferably along the D-Line.  Even if we have to trade-up in order to get one.

In my opinion, the guy who best fits that bill (who is also somewhat realistic for us to land) is Kenneth Grant.

If he makes it to around Pick 20-21, I think it would be worth exploring trade options to go up and grab him.

Draft history tells me that Beane usually prefers quantity (more picks) over quality (higher picks).  He also likes filling all of his primary holes as early in the draft as possible.  Need over BPA.  I think his primary goal is to land a potential CB2 and future starting DT.  Next priorities are Edge Rusher, speed WR, depth at LB and a FS more in the mold of Micah Hyde (most of our current guys are better at SS)... but he will save those for late Day 2 or Day 3.

Malaki Stark is suddenly a popular mock pick, and he might be the BPA at #30.  But safety isn't a big enough need for Beane to use a 1st Round Pick on that position.  Can't see it happening.  The fact that he's called D-Line the deepest position in the draft could mean he feels comfortable waiting until Day 2 to get one.  Signing Tre White shouldn't move the needle for anyone, based on how he played last season.  CB is still our biggest need, and it's not a very deep class this year.

My prediction is basically a repeat of last year (swapping out WR for CB).  Bills fans eagerly wait until the late evening for Pick #30, only to find Beane has traded with the Giants and out of the 1st Round.  Like WR in 2024, Beane has a handful of guys ranked about the same on his board.  We ultimately choose the leftovers from amongst the guys who were in for visits:  Maxwell Hairston, Shavon Revel, Trey Amos or Benjamin Morrison.

I think Grant next to Oliver could do some damage.  Understand the need for CB, but a defensive line that can put the fear of god into an offense....that's what I want.  I also expect, the front office wants that too. The coach also thinks the DL needs to get better.

I want the Bills to add 3 things

SPEED in the secondary. Stop settling for high IQ, low athletic dbs and safeties. We need to go after high IQ high athletic dbs.

A DT who can create havoc with his pass rush.

A Run stuffing 1 Tech.

After that a EDGE with some juice and a take the top off receiver.

If the Bills hit on corner and DT I think they comfortably take another step.

Well you got the first one, so here's hoping the rest pan out.

I don't believe that we will take anyone at thirty.

No way Beane sits still.

Had the CB options correct.

Had the Giants trading back into the 1st Round.

I would be curious if there were any discussions about us making a similar trade with New York.

If Emmanwori falls, yes.

Grant at DT. Need that run stuffer to free up Oliver. DTs seem to be plentiful in this draft though, so I'd wait on DT. In later rds, I like Vernon Broughton.

CB I like is Hairston. Speed and decent height. This is the likely pick.

An good Edge may fall to our 2nd rd picks.

You called it!

I think based on what Beane said about teams wanting to trade up, the Giants felt they needed to get higher than 30 to make sure another team didn't jump them.  Watching NFL LIVE, multiple QB needy teams had Dart as the second best QB behind Ward.    Wouldn't surprise me if Tyler Shough from Louisville or even Jalen Milroe are the next QBs off the board.  Sanders is viewed as non-mobile.
