I remember him on the 85 Bears. What a great defense they had. He has been suffering from ALS which is a brutal disease. 8 Quote
DrDawkinstein Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Mongo! Sad news. I was too young to remember him playing but I just watched the 30for30 on the 85 Bears and he is great in it. Recommend watching. Quote
stuvian Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Never knew he was a Patriot. That was a classic defense. The Bears have been but a rumour ever since. Not much for longevity with McMichael and Payton leaving us as they will. Life keeps you humble. Quote

Thank goodness for Hospice and the people who do that work. They are special people. I don’t know if I could handle that position. I hope his loved ones can take some comfort while he is in their care. 3 Quote
holla83 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago He was in rough shape when he was inducted into the HOF. It was only a matter of time. Sad! I'm 45 so I barely remember his playing career. But I remember his wrestling career. He was pretty entertaining in that genre. Quote

Sad to see how much he deteriorated. Quote
BillsPride12 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Very sad news. Unfortunately this was always going to be a matter of time. Very happy he was alive when he was inducted into the HOF. Thought that one was long overdue Quote
Beast Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago (edited) Hopefully he passes quickly and as peaceful as possible. He’s already been through hell. Tim Green from the Falcons and Syracuse U also has ALS and has for some time. Just an awful disease. Edited 13 hours ago by Beast Quote

The most dominating, relentless and terrifying defense that I have ever seen on any football field. And whoever is second, isn't even close. They were that good, imo. 3 Quote
DeepPass Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Great player on a great defense in the NFL. They kicked ass!! Quote
