Too many accolades to mention including finalist for Outland trophy award. (nation's top lineman.) Oozes the interior pass rush and past production Beane wants. I'm not against it, assuming they also add a quality 1T early as well. I think they only really need a 1T and a CB, so they have an early pick to spare. Quote
strive_for_five_guy Posted yesterday at 06:38 PM Posted yesterday at 06:38 PM (edited) I think the amount of talent still available shows why the Bills should not trade up in R1, unless they really love a guy and what he can bring to the team. Edited 23 hours ago by strive_for_five_guy 1 Quote
section122 Posted yesterday at 06:47 PM Posted yesterday at 06:47 PM With Amos, Grant, and Harmon all available I would have hung tight knowing that I likely would be getting at least 1 of them. 5 Quote
TBBills Fan Posted yesterday at 06:47 PM Posted yesterday at 06:47 PM I'd be happy if we had these options while on the clock That said, I voted IOL because I just couldn't pick between DT and CB Quote

Agreed. It's hard to do a mock with a community poll with trades for that team. 20 minutes ago, strive_for_five_guy said: I think the amount of talent still available shows why the Bills should not trade up in R1, unless they really love a guy and what we can bring to the team. This mock fell really well to us. In our first mock, the DT's were gone, as was the S. 1 Quote

Yeah, kind of backwards here, usually you trade up to get your particular target - which I could understand if J Barron was here. If you have several in the same tier that allows you to wait. With Amos, Grant, Harmon and Hairston still on the board I don't think a move up is needed, especially when it usually costs around a 4th to do it. 1 Quote

The glaring need at DT to shore up the defensive line has plagued us for the past few years, and we could become dominant with the right run stuffing DT with pass rush ability. With that being said, I voted for S - Nick Emmanwori, South Carolina. I just really think he could be huge in our defense. His ability to play S and LB, with our injury concerns and the nickel we play...could just be a major impact player. Not to derail the thread but Idk how much of a fit he is at LB unless he changes his mindset. He’s big but watching him he doesn’t really like to play the run. Kinda waits for others to do it and cleans up if necessary. Don’t have notes on him in front of me but IIRC his block shedding needed a lot of work and wish he was much more aggressive when attacking downhill. 1 Quote

Big Blitz Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Wow. 1 vote difference You can’t trade up for a 2 down lineman. He'd have to be Ted Washington elite. Even then. Harmon. 1 Quote

Harmon. Honestly, I don’t think either guy is a 2 down linemen. I think they both have flexibility and would be welcome additions. These guys aren’t zero tech Mt. Cody types. Additionally, we are a 4-2-5 team, meaning you are always in third down defense. I voted Harmon because Grant won last time. But I Amos is going to be the pick tomorrow IMO. Quote

I'm not a fan of moving down, but the more I look at player overall ranking, the more likely it seems that we won't get a sniff of Grant , Harmon or Nolen. ie. Cincy will for sure take 1. All seemed to be graded to go by early 20s. Quote

HappyDays Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago 6 minutes ago, Kirby Jackson said: Why are people voting Grant over Harmon? I don’t understand. Yeah I don't get it. Bills fans and podcasters are obsessed with fat run stuffers. But when we lose to the Chiefs every single year in the playoffs it isn't because they're running all over us, it's because Mahomes is comfortable in the pocket and they have wide open WRs all over the field. We need pass coverage and pass rush. A run stuffing 1T in the 1st round would be very disappointing IMO. Harmon has some pass rush juice. 1 Quote
JohnBonhamRocks Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Voted Amos. I feel there is a steeper talent cliff at CB after him than there is at DT. Plus, CB2 stands to require more playing time than a rotating DT. I’ve also seen him compared to Tre White a few times. Would in no way be upset with Harmon or Grant though. Quote

He just wasn’t the best option as the board fell. He wasn’t even the best available option at his position. People get so hung up on need vs. BPA. We talk all of the time about not drafting for need but then when presented with the opportunity, we draft for need. 1 1 Quote
