Bills send 4th round round this year and 3rd next year yo the Lions for Jameison Williams. It was rumored that the Bills really like him coming out of college. His speed would be perfect for our offense. The kid has some maturity issues but he is a complete baller. Good size with blazing speed and his route running is improving each year.

Yes, that would absolutely solve our WR issue. But why would the Lions take a 3rd & 4th for him? I'm pretty sure the entire league would be in on that.

Yeah he's too much of a diva. They seem to bringing in team-oriented unselfish guys who do their jobs like a Palmer, even Amari Cooper. Williams is a diva, and he isn't even that good and hasn't accomplished much. I feel like this regime has been down that path before and won't do it again.

From what I read the 5th year option is still on the table for us via trade so that makes the deal very pallatable given that his salary is low

but I take the proposal with a grain of salt

If the Lions were willing to give up Jameson Williams for those picks, then we probably don't want him. He is an electric WR whose skill set would be a great match for the Bills. On that I agree. But he already has two suspensions - one for gambling and the other for PEDs. The decision on his 5th year option is due by 5/1 so if the Lions move him it’s because they don’t want to pick that up and invest real money into him. Also It’s tough to blame any problems on the team he is on. The Lions are an excellent team with an excellent coach and are winning.

Still, I’d be tempted if he came fairly cheaply in trade. $3M this season and $15.5M in 2026 seems a good gamble. I just don’t think the Lions move him for so little unless things with him are much worse than they even look.

I think the Lions would move him because St.Brown took the no. 1 and they can afford to move him vs. paying him and with the 5th yr. option, they may get more now.

I would like for this trade to happen. Williams on the outside would be a big plus for our Offense. That all being said, I would still draft a wide-out with a similar skill set.

I would stay far away from Williams because of how good he looked for the Lions.  If they are willing to walk away from him and his production, there must be some real red flags there.

If a non-lethal but attention grabbing electrical shock was applied every time someone brought up a proposed trade, the world just might be a better place.

Yeah with 2 suspension behind him the next one could be for a season. I can't see us taking that risk. If we trade for a WR I'd want someone like Chris Olave who worked with our WR in New Orleans and a cleaner record.

Why not just draft a WR? There are lots of guys with speed in this draft.

Yeah but proven commodities are a real thing in any professional sports. You know he can perform at successful standards against NFL defenses already.

I'd do it for a 5th, and would still draft a guy early.  Williams can come in, be a stud, play his way out (like Hill in KC), and then Royals replaces him and we keep winning SBs.

Exactly. This kind of trash belongs on a podcast. If only a couple members here would start one……

So you're proposing that we offer a 4th and a future 3rd for a young player on whom the current Lions regime spent a 1st round pick, who is coming off his first 1,000 yard season, and who plays for a Super Bowl contending team?

If this is the train of thought, then I would like to propose we also offer a couple of 5ths for Bucky Irving.
