Chandler#81 Posted Wednesday at 12:24 PM Posted Wednesday at 12:24 PM Jackie -as he was known then- tells his version of our 1st League championship. He’d started 2 previous title games with the Chargers but this was his 1st win. We then won the title again the following year and made the title game for a 3rd straight season, losing to -you guessed it, KC.. 4 3 1 Quote

Maybe to you, but in the world of Pro Football he’s hands down more famous for being a Championship QB. 1 1 Quote

In 3rd grade his son Jeff was in my class and I used to walk home to their house after school sometimes. It was the first color TV I ever saw, and the chest inside the front door was full of all kinds of AFL game balls. Jeff’s toy chest was filled with more balls. It was pretty cool, but I don’t think I realized just how cool at the time. Jeff turned out to be an NFL QB as well, lasting about a decade or so. It was only with Jeff visiting and on my team that we could beat the older kids from my neighborhood. I got curious and looked him up one time and learned he had become a motivational speaker. It seems he inherited his father’s gravelly voice as well a his smarts (he went to Dartmouth) and football ability. It was a weird thing to notice. 1 Quote

Gregg Posted Wednesday at 08:54 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:54 PM First of 4 QBs in Bills history worth mentioning followed by Ferguson, Kelly and now Allen. Nobody else really stands out including Flutie and Bledsoe who were only Bills QBs for about 5 minutes. Quote

(Un)Fortunately, we got to practice well into the night/morning until about 4am. That’s growing up in Buffalo. 1 Quote

Late bloomer I guess. Beat San Diego 30-3 at home, 27-24 on the road, and we were still underdogs. Talk about no respect. One other thing I noticed was the interception by Stratton. Awesome pick. Everyone knows about the hit heard around the world he put on Keith Lincoln. Chargers were driving in the second half and that pick turned the second half around almost as much as the hit on Lincoln turned the first half around. 1 Quote
