Bigstu Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I really think we should trade Cook during the Draft. If not, he will be a negative influence on our team. 1 Quote

If Cook looks to hold out even to the start of camp, draft the best RB you can, trade Cook for a 2026 2nd during the draft and use our own 2026 2nd to get us at least a mid 3rd. Our later picks will serve us better then. Nobody will give up a 2nd round pick and then pay a RB way more than he's worth. Unless Al Davis is still alive. 1 Quote

Based on how he is acting, and his face when they forst drafted him. We have been told it's not good behind the scenes. If I am Beane I am fielding calls, and sitting back to see how the Draft unfolds. If the situation is right, I can see him used for a trade up, or picks. UGA photo. That’s James. Quote
gjv Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Has anyone seen Joey Bosa? 1 hour ago, Pete said: I believe so. Josh is there, so everyone should be there. WGR said One Bills Drive had hyper activity, players everywhere. Tasker said phase 1 of training is more about returning players and new players. That there will tug of wars, dodge ball, obstacle courses, all building bonds, meetings, setting 2025 mindset. Not very becoming for a Buffalo Bill. Beane doesnt play. I predict a James Cook trade the next 48 hours Has anyone seen Joey Bosa? Quote

PrimeTime101 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Trade him for a third, give up a 4th and a 6th. I'm done with this fool. Contract does not = Snap counts Production (HB numbers are a product of the system he is playing in) not trusted on third downs. I don't want a playoff game where he is not putting in 200%. I just can't trust him at this point. Quote

He's a good player, but is he really that good? (15 million.) He's sitting out Voluntary OTA's. This isn't shocking and was pretty much expected. And Beane doesn't have a problem with it. The last report from Schefter is he's unhappy about his contract (obviously) but will play for us this year. If something changes and he decides to hold out during mandatory practices or games, it's worth revisiting then. But the outrage over this reads like people who want him traded using it as a reason to do so. The reality is, nothing's changed. We all expected this. 1 Quote
wppete Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago If he doesn’t show up at camp fine the crap out of him. This is a huge opportunity for Ray Davis, hope he takes advantage of this. These opportunities don’t come often. Quote

wppete Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Trade Cook get a 3rd make a package get up to the second and draft Henderson. Problem solved. And probably $14m cheaper. Quote

ndirish1978 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago There is no reason to trade him. Just let him play out his contract, do something for this team and collect a comp pick when he leaves. 2 Quote

frostbitmic Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Voluntary still means you can show up, or not ... Remember it was just 420. If Cook thinks not showing up for voluntary workouts will get Beane to flinch and give him 15M per, have at it, it won't work. When Davis was drafted last year I guessed he'd be the starter in 2026, then of course Cook had a career year. I still think Davis will be the starter in 26 and they'll draft his replacement next year. It keeps you on the not paying a RB past initial contract path. 1 Quote

ColoradoBills Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Well, it seems that Cook is adamant about $15M per year (and we don't know how much he expects in guarantees or years) and Beane is probably at his "market value" which is $10.2M. I'm betting neither is going to move off those numbers unless the other does too. I'm thinking Cook is wanting a 4 year $60M contract. Probably wanting $35M+ in guarantees. I wouldn't be shocked if Beane thinks that is way too much. What happens is still unknown, but the best Beane can expect is Cook plays out his contract and the Bills get a comp pick in 2027 if he doesn't back up in his demands. I'm sad they can't get this done. I really would like Cook to be a Bills for the next 3 years. Unfortunately, with the social media stuff, the home up for sale and the no-show for the voluntary OTAs makes this going forward all on James. He either backs up some or moves it on down the line. 1 1 Quote
