I use it at work often and it saves me a ton of time. I try to teach my students how to use it properly to get the help they need more efficiently, not to write papers for them. For example, we use a lot of historical texts and, for kids who are way behind grade level they are exceedingly difficult to understand. ChatGPT allows them to have the text reworded for them instantly for the level they are currently at. Then they can see the original and the essentially translated version side by side and it takes ZERO time to do it. Yeah it’s been crazy what I’ve been able to do with it work wise, but even analyzing legal documents and things like comparing original drafts and redlined amended ones for potential issues and why. Even my lawyer was floored, saved us a ton of time and money 1 Quote

Cray51 Posted Tuesday at 11:42 AM Posted Tuesday at 11:42 AM (edited) ChatGPT is great, but not the only tool out there that will blow your mind. CoPilot through Microsoft is amazing too, especially combined with other Microsoft Power Platform tools. We just built a tool through Microsoft that reads every email our companies AR team receives (we are a VERY large company, over 70,000 US Employees), understands the details being provided, standardizes the results, reads any attachments if there are PDFs or Excel files, and then puts the information in Microsoft List, which you can embed the email itself on the record and the search functionality will actually read through all of the emails and not just what is listed on the cells like what you would be limited to with excel. Completely changes the way my team obtains information and leverages it. Within a year, my team of 50 people may be reduced to 10 if we can continue to leverage functional AI to deliver our services. It's incredible - and scary Edited Tuesday at 11:57 AM by Cray51 2 1 Quote

Draconator Posted Tuesday at 11:57 AM Posted Tuesday at 11:57 AM I use Claude.ai to write emails at work, and I used it for resumes when I was job hunting. I personally like Claude better than ChatGPT for writing, but ChatGPT is amazing for graphics. Quote

mjt328 Posted Tuesday at 12:22 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:22 PM My educated guess is that Brandon Beane is targeting a CB in Round 1. He will make calls to teams 3-4 picks in front, and 3-4 picks behind us to prepare for trades. Depending on how our board looks, we could move a few spots. But I have very little doubt that CB will be the pick. Which makes me sad, because I feel like a good D-Line prospect is going to fall within a reasonable distance of us getting. But he's pretty much stuck us into a position where a corner must be chosen in the first two rounds. Quote

I'm already prepping myself for disappointment when we invest more 1st & 2nd round picks into D, which I doubt will amount to anything since it's still McDermott's unit, but I'd love to be wrong & see us grab another WR. Defense is the weakness of this team, by the way… 1 Quote

I used it the other day at work. Took a picture of a control panel with different colors of the status of our scale buckets. It didn't come with directions. Our scales are from China. We couldn't figure out the codes to program it. After taking the picture, I simply asked Chat, what does this mean.? In about 30 seconds it had a thorough breakdown of the chart, meanings, explanations. Crazy world we live in! P.S. I just asked GPT if TBD is a good website: Says it's well regarded interactive website. Also: Highlights of Two Bills Drive Active Forums: Diverse Content: Beyond game discussions, TBD offers sections like "Off the Wall" for broader NFL topics and general conversations, fostering a well-rounded community experience. Community Engagement: Members often share personal experiences and insights. 😀 Pretty smart like I said, couldn't agree more But there are times where it gives the craziest answers possible. It's a nice tool to use to disseminate information. Still need to verify results. Quote
boater Posted Tuesday at 12:57 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:57 PM I used ChatGPT to aid in the writing of an admissions essay. I did not use the text GPT provided--it was too verbose and it would have been plagiarism. But I did use the outline as a scaffold for my own writing. It worked out well. 1 1 Quote
boyst Posted Tuesday at 01:27 PM Posted Tuesday at 01:27 PM I spoke to Pinto Ron about ChatGPT after a friend brought it up to him. For those that don't know he is a genius with programming, etc. He said this same technology was being used in the 80's and it's just rebranded stuff to seem advanced. It was a remarkable conversation. 1 Quote

Yea my lodger who is a uni student does that. Asks ChatGPT to write it, then rewrites it but keeps the structure. 1 Quote
