This used to be a big night for me.  Had a core group of friends that would always get together and go out and watch the draft at a bar.  Over time as people started getting married and having kids and getting older that tradition faded over time.  Now it's hit or miss if I get together with a couple friends and go out to watch it somewhere or just watch it at home.  As of right now I don't have anything planned for it but if I just stay home and watch it I'll at least order some pizza and wings.  But with that said it's still fun to hear what other people have going on for it.  Anybody doing anything fun for it?

I'll watch night one. On night two I'll typically flip between the draft and WWE Smackdown. I'll follow along here to see who goes where.

By Saturday most of the players I know are drafted and the coverage on TV is about the first 2 days and recapping the last few picks very minimally so I lose interest completely.

Same thing I've done since I was 8. Go over to my parents and have gyros and watch the draft with my dad. Also complain it's taking too long. Every pick from about pick 8 I'll say "oooohhhhh I was hoping he would fall" or "I could see the Bills trading up here"

I use to enjoy the draft but these days I really just read about it in the morning.  I enjoyed all day Saturday and Sunday drafts. The NFL trying to monetize every facet of the the business has the opposite affect on me. I am watching less, following less and spending less.

They have done a much better job of highlighting day 3 guys in recent years. I used to hate when ESPN would just go to roundtables and nfl player interviews and commercials while picks scrolled, or didn’t , on day 3

I will be in front of the tv for every single pick. From the stage walks on night 1 to the craziness of picks being announced from zip wires and by men dressed as sharks on day 3.... right through to stump the truck!

Nights 1 and 2 normally just some nachos and snacks. Takeout pizza on day 3 normally.

I did like the Saturday/Sunday format much better.  It’s too drawn out now.

Swearing like a sailor when ESPN and NFLN both simultaneously cut to commercial when the Bills are on the clock.

No but really...

Night one I always just watch the entirety of the main coverage. Various draft guides splayed out before me, some cold beer and pizza.

Night two is often the same, but I'll do more switching back and forth between main coverage and various online draft coverage, because the main networks start doing a worse job actually talking about the prospects on night two.

By night three, I'm typically exclusively watching coverage from one online outlet or another, because the main networks don't really talk about the prospects AT ALL on day three. I do not enjoy ESPN or NFL Network's day three coverage, with all its promotions and live performances and "comedy" bits and recaps. So by that point I'm seeking out ACTUAL draft coverage online.

I'm going to convince my wife to do the kids bedtime, grab a beer and make some nachos.

I like the draft, its fun to watch and hear guys stories and see their dreams come true. I also really enjoy watching the Jets screw it up

Here in the NYC area the media seem to think the Jets will go OL. Will Campbell (LSU) or Armand Membou (Missouri) are the popular picks for them. They have the Giants taking DL Abdul Carter (Penn St)

My boss is in town and he’s my responsibility Thursday 🙄. I’m probably going to drag him to the WGR Draft Party at Resurgence. I’m sure he’s going to want to cross the border and get weird. I’ll convince him that Resurgence will be packed with young girls with daddy issues, searching for a relatively successful narcissist who is married. By the time he realizes it’s just a bunch of smelly mouth breathers, it’ll be too late. Think About It GIF by Identity

I will be sitting in the NFL Draft Theatre in Green Bay, watching every pick from #1 overall to Mr. Irrelevant, LIVE!

I love this time of year! :)

Have you been to one before?  I'm really curious about what you do in all the downtime, and what level of information you get being in the crowd.

If it comes to Buffalo, I will definitely go.
