Mike in Horseheads Posted yesterday at 02:03 AM Posted yesterday at 02:03 AM With the 27th pick of the 2025 Virgil Mock draft 3, The Baltimore (Go O’s!) Ravens select Donovan Ezeiruaku,Edge, Boston College. A three-year starter at Boston College, Ezeiruaku was an outside edge rusher (left and right) in defensive coordinator Tim Lewis’ 4-3 base scheme (lined up mostly as a stand-up defender, with 99.7 percent of his snaps coming wide of the tackle as a 7- or 9-tech). After leading the team in sacks and tackles for loss as a sophomore and junior, he became the 13th consensus All-American in school history as a senior and finished top three in the FBS in both sacks (16.5) and tackles for loss (20.5). The Lions and Frostbitmic are on the clock with the 28th pick. 1 Quote

frostbitmic Posted yesterday at 04:06 AM Posted yesterday at 04:06 AM With the 28th pick in Mock 3 The Detroit Lions select Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio St We really don't have a lot of holes on our roster and WR isn't one either unless our 3rd year receiver Jameson Williams gets himself suspended for the 3rd time in 3 years, we won't take the chance of him slowing us down. We're kind of surprised Emeka slid down the board this far and we're glad he did. @Might Rather and the Commanders are on the board. 2 Quote
Might Rather Posted yesterday at 10:39 AM Posted yesterday at 10:39 AM With the 29th pick the Washington Commanders select Nick Emmanwori, Safety, South Carolina First-team Associated Press All-American. First-team All-SEC. Led team with 88 tackles. Started all 13 games (3 TFLs, 4 INT with 2 returned for TDs, 2 PBUs). He’s a physical specimen with rare size and outstanding speed. He’s capable of playing over the top, inside the box or even matching up with pass-catching tight ends. His rare NFL traits and talent, could take him from a good starter to a Pro Bowl-caliber player. @MrEpsYtown and the Rams are on the clock. 2 Quote
boyst Posted yesterday at 11:14 AM Posted yesterday at 11:14 AM So, we mov up and a guy we can likely get later is who we get? Weird. 1 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted yesterday at 11:48 AM Posted yesterday at 11:48 AM With the 30th pick in the TBD mock draft 3.0, the Los Angeles Rams select Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State. While I don't think Warren is going to drop this far, I do think the Rams could make a move for Warren or Loveland. In fact, I think the QB stuff is all smokescreens as a strategy to get people to move up in front of them for QBs to push talent to the line. The Rams have some pressing needs that could be met with this pick, but I can't pass on Warren. Reports are the Rams tried to trade up for Dalton Kincaid a few years ago and Brock Bowers last year. The Rams' offense was always at its best when they deployed Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett together. Warren gives Sean McVay an exciting chess piece who can play in line, H-back, in the slot, and line up at RB, FB, even QB. They have drafted a ton for the defense, this one goes to coach McVay and the offense. Warren is 6-6, 261, and has soft hands. @HappyDays and the Kansas City Swifties are on the clock. Quote
HappyDays Posted yesterday at 01:23 PM Posted yesterday at 01:23 PM With the 31st pick the Chiefs select Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State. Philadelphia @MrEpsYtown is on the clock. This is too clean a fit to pass up. Simmons could have been a top 10 pick if not for his knee injury. He's very athletic with quick feet and fluid movement skills. Kingsley Suamataia was a huge disappointment when we tried him at LT season and is likely being moved to guard this year. We signed Jaylon Moore, he's a stopgap not a long term answer but that will allow us to be patient with Simmons likely starting the season on the PUP list. 3 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted yesterday at 02:11 PM Posted yesterday at 02:11 PM (edited) With the 32nd pick in the TBD mock draft 3.0, the Philadelphia Eagles select James Pearce Jr., Edge, Tennessee. Typical Eagles right? Just sit around and let the draft come to you. I don't think Pearce is the best fit everywhere, but the Eagles have gotten the most out of guys like this. I considered Harmon and a corner here, but the upside of Pearce is just too great to pass up. An explosive first step, the dude can get to the QB and ran a faster 40 than most of the Bills' receiving corps. I think Pearce is a great fit and will help replace some of the pass rush that walked out the door this offseason. I know there are character things, but the Eagles seem to make these things work. Big upside here. That wraps up mock draft 3.0 Thanks to @Virgil for running this again. Edited yesterday at 02:12 PM by MrEpsYtown 1 Quote
Virgil Posted yesterday at 02:16 PM Author Posted yesterday at 02:16 PM That’s a wrap folks! Thank you to everyone who contributed. Overall consensus is: -Do not trade up for anyone in the first round, no matter who is available -Kenneth Grant is who the board wants, above anyone else -Amos is #2 -Harmon is #3 3 1 7 Quote

frostbitmic Posted yesterday at 02:18 PM Posted yesterday at 02:18 PM (edited) Well done gents, I don't really see any silly pics here and could see a lot of tonight going the same way. We did good. Thanks to Virgil for all his work. Edited yesterday at 02:20 PM by frostbitmic 3 Quote

Mr. WEO Posted yesterday at 03:32 PM Posted yesterday at 03:32 PM What are the Browns up to if they take Carter or even Hunter (after blowing a ton on Garrett)? Their goal is to lose nearly every game 12-9? What’s the point of stacking a defense (which stunk WITH Garrett last year) with zero offense? Is Cousins signing there? Quote
CNYfan Posted yesterday at 03:36 PM Posted yesterday at 03:36 PM Thanks again Mr. Virgil. I really appreciate the effort. Quote

Drafting Sanders ain't helping them imo. Ward would have. IMO, it makes sense to get one of the two best players in the draft, go stopgap for now or draft Shough or Dart later. Quote

The Bears tried several times to trade up and get Simmons, to no avail. With picks 39 and 41, they are in a nice position to trade up and get a player they really like, using their R3 pick. Having GM'd the Jags in TSW mock1, they are also in a great position to move back into R1 if they desire. I'm really looking forward to tonight, as there ought to be a lot of trade action. I just hope Beane doesn't screw us over like last year, making us stay up until the end, just to trade back and out of R1.... As always, thanks to @Virgil for putting in the effort for these--I always learn a lot just before the draft! 1 Quote
