Bills trade back from pick 30 and find a partner in the Giants who come back into the 1st to take Jaxson Dart, picking up the Giants second 3rd round pick, #99 overall.

Bills now find themselves equipped with

(2) - 34

(2) - 56

(2) - 62

(3) - 99

(4) - 109

(4) - 132

The Bills them stay at pick #34 selecting Texas A&M edge rushing standout, Nic Scourton.

The Bills then trade back up in the 2nd round with the Bears, packaging pick #56 and pick #109 moving up to pick #41 to select Tyleik Williams who they liked on the pre-draft visit.

At pick #62, the Bills address the CB position selecting Darien Porter, the CB with upside from Iowa State, who can spend some time learning behind Tre White and co. early in the season.

At pick 99, the Bills turn to looking for a home run threat at RB and select Quinshon Judkins, and double dip on the National Champion OSU Buckeyes.

Then at pick #132, the Bills take TE CJ Dippre who will be groomed as the Dawson Knox replacement and has a similar game to Knox.

I really like this but would hope at 132 C.j. West or Caldwell

Not based on who I like, but who I think the Bills like, fits their system and position of need based on best available.

Rd 1- I really think the pick is Trey Amos CB Ole Miss. tons of experience at a high level and excels in zone schemes, good size and speed. CB2 needs a huge upgrade. After the top 3-4 CBs, talent drops off.

RD 2- DT & WR

DT- Tyleik Williams Ohio St

Darius Alexander Toledo

Alfred Collins Texas

WR- Isaiah Bond Texas

Jalen Royals Utah St

Sleeper Pick - I feel may be under rated is Elic Ayomanor WR Stanford. 6’2” 4.45 speed 1.58 10 yard. Big time blocker. Canadian . Vs Travis Hunter 13 catches, 300 yards 3 TDs. Seems like a McBeane type player. Potential move back into rd 3 to grab.

Another: I love Carson Schwesinger LB UCLA. Would be a great Milano replacement. LB is a position the Bills need another stud. Outside of Bernard, super weak and vulnerable. Why are we not talking about LBr as a position that needs help????

Round 1 depends greatly on who falls, but Amos is a reasonable possibility.  It is doubtful that Tyliek is still on the board.  Collis is iffy.  He might be there and might not.  Alexander would not be my choice.  T think Bond may have been removed from Buffalo's draft board with his red flag.  Royals is still in play.  I also agree on Ayomanor

No knock on the picks, but if they get to 62 and don't like the CBs, I think they have to either trade back to a spot where they are comfortable with a CB or just reach about 1/2 round for one.  Every year, round 2 seems to produce some CB picks that seem to be pretty good sized reaches based on speed/athletic upside.

I don't think they can contemplate having a multi-time seriously injured Tre White and Dane Jackson as their plan for CB2 for the full year.  I do think White and Jackson give them room to wait for an injured Revel Jr or Morrison or an inexperienced Darien Porter to get up to speed by mid-late season.

I'm not knocking who you picked, but I can't see going into day 3 without a CB having been selected.

I can give you my thought process, as best I can remember it.  But not taking a CB in the 1st 2 rounds was really due to what happened in the 1st.

-as I said, both Trey Amos and Hairston were taken before pick 30 in the sim I ran.  I may have, or probably would have, taken either if they were available.  Especially with the depth of the DT class.

In the second, things get a little more sticky.  Of those who were, or might have been available when they picked in the 2nd...

-Thomas from Florida St.  known as a man cover corner.  Kair Elam flashbacks are too fresh.

-Revel from East Carolina...(not even sure if he was there)... coming off a knee injury early in the season last year, didn't do any testing this spring.  No one is sure if he is available this year.

-Morrison from ND.  Hip injury.  Hip injuries always make me nervous.  Esp in younger athletes.

-Porter from Iowa St.  Excellent athlete, has exactly 1 year as a starter at corner.  I don't have problems with a switch from WR to CB, especially if they turn into a Richard Sherman.  But there is certainly no guarantee of that happening and he is by no means a sure thing.

-Parrish from Kansas State is definitely fast and pretty good.  he was the one I was hoping for in the 4th.

The 2 CBs I took later in the draft scored close to what the guys I passed on in the 2nd, if you put any credence in Lance Zeurline's ranking scores. They may be boom or bust, but I wouldn't write them off as practice squad fodder.  Both have good size/speed combinations and a history of production.

What I did get in the 1st and 2nd were 3 players that have a good chance of contributing significantly right away in areas of need.   In fact, each has a chance  at being a bona fide difference maker.

As far as Tre White goes, idk.  Maybe I'm a little more optimistic than others.  I wasn't expecting much out of him last season anyway.  It seems that it takes a year of playing after an injury like that to get their play back.

It April.  There are still options if all you are going to need is a CB 2.
