A season ending loss at Houston cost us the Division and QB Jim Kelly with a knee sprain. The epic WildCard game comeback avenged the Houston loss followed up by an impressive road win at Pittsburgh in the Division Round. The stage was set for arch enemies squaring off in the Title game in sunny Miami with the winner advancing to the Super Bowl

All I remember about that game was screens for days and it was so pretty. Packers power sweep like execution.

We did it better than anybody.

The screens are what got me, we just didn't move the ball well without them it seemed.

2 things that stood out to me:

1. The commercials! Man, it was simpler back then and how old those cars look now.

2. Knowing the result now, the camera panning those cheering "Fin"atics. Haha, bunch of hopeful losers!

Recall too how in the first half the Dolphins ran the ball a lot and well, but once the game got close and Bills took lead, all Marino started doing was throwing and they went downhill from there.   The game at that point was still close enough that they could have still ran quite a bit too.  That was why I was never too keen on Marino as he tended to try and play hero ball too often.

PS  The fact that this post started last Friday and is still on first page tells me the number of posters here today that were around and followed the team that long ago, 33 years, must not be very big!
