Should the Giants pass on Shedeur Sanders with the No. 3 pick, keep an eye out for Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart, whose swashbuckling style and flair for the dramatic seems tailor-made for New York, and who I'm told head coach Brian Daboll likes.

This makes all too much sense. It would allow them to take an OL'man early and then still get their guy if they aren't sold on Sanders. The connections, being right at the back end of the 1st, I think we end up making this trade on Day 1. That swap would likely net us 34 and 99. I would be alright with that.

So that leaves KC, Philly and the Browns to pick who we passed and maybe who we were hoping to pick. All for 99. I just can't find the logic here. We'll let 3 teams pick ahead of us just to have what is basically another teams comp . pick. Nothing more than sloppy seconds if you ask me.

They will be taking Carter at 3.

Would you do it for Thibodeaux instead of 99?

Dude, get real.

We are trading with the Chiefs when they draft their next all pro OL to pair with Creed Humphrey who we gave them, too. Oh, and Mahomes.  Oh, and Worthy.

Eeeek.  He can play out the year on his current contract for us for sure.  I'll even send something real late back their way too... but Im not re-signing him until we see what he brings to the field.... and if our staff has learned how to generate pressure from 4.  Im pessimistic enough about whoever is running our DL, that I feel like Myles Garret might not be worth sliding back 3 spots for lol

With the resources we've poured into that line, for the production it's given us, I just can't believe it's all on the players. We've had solid play from Rousseau, with moments of excellence, but not consistent enough.  Ed flashes 4x's a year, disappears a bunch when we need him.  I dont know or even care who to blame... either way guys arent getting enough output, its killed us, I dont know that replacing one or the other fixes it.... but yes I'd be willing to gamble on Thibs.  If he does pan out, we know he can produce in our system, and can hope we nail a deal down with him

Hmm. Will Dart be there are #30?

I’m predicting 9 to the Saints. I’m going bold and predicting Dart will be drafted over Sanders.

I think we can pick up his 5th year option too. You’d have 2 years of him (at least I think he’s going into year 4). It was a thought. The Giants may be willing to move on from him if they draft Carter. They can roll with Carter and Burns. They can avoid making the extension decision on Thibs. Maybe we’d have to include a late pick too but, it’s a thought.

Also, I like that it “checks the edge box.” They can go to 34, add Thibs and still have 56 & 62.

I like the player add, and to go one further, figure out how to throw J Cook into the mix.  D Lawrence, B Burns, or Thibs and draft choice exchanges.

I think Thibs is coming ahead or ascending to a Burns 2.0.   Problem is ....Is he a 3 down, 3rd down only? I'm kinda hoping we get a Jared Ivey type that can start day one at least 1st and 2nd down....eliminating Smoot. He'll be a 3 down meanie next year that can slide inside post Bosa ...or before Princely or Donovan.

I said this in another thread. If we don't land premium player somehow and there is not a rush on CBs in front of us, then trade down couple of spots.

In my community mock I traded down with Philly and then again with Titans to 35 gaining picks 120 and 134 on the way. But Giants work as well.

Im finding it hard to believe but there is some scuttle about Milroe being a Tomlin favorite but would he get to 30 before someone else made a move I’m not so sure about that. Plus the Rams look at 26 to take him

I’m all for trading down in this draft.  I don’t see a significant delta between the a top 5 DT and a top 10 DT in this draft.  Trade down, pick up a 2nd and 3rd and get your CB, 2xDT and WR with your 4 picks in rounds 2 & 3
